Another f*cking disaster. WTH? Does Bacon have blackmail pics of somebody? He must have blackmail pics of me because I actively hate this show now, and yet I keep tuning in. This newest band of psycho crazies are giving me serious Eyes Wide Shut vibes. I don't know what their deal is, nor do I care at this point.

So we get another Joe in the form of Joe DuBois from Medium? Ugh.
And I noticed that his wife is from that short-lived show, Zero Hour. Two shows that are better than this one put together, but yes...I still tune in with the hope that something will change. It's got to be the Bacon factor.

Bklynred, I equate "The Following" to a bad book I'm reading. I keep thinking the book will get better so i keep reading further, but then it just goes on to disappoint me. Do I stop reading? Nope, because deep down inside I keep thinking "it has to get better." Call me stupid, but this show had so much promise in the beginning that it has to get better. Right? RIGHT?

Jesus, WHY?! I don't keep up on ratings, but are they any good? How is it that FOX gives grief to shows like Fringe and the like where people actually give a shit and then they go and renew this crapfest on a whim? My mind is blown.

I have no idea. I posted on tumblr and someone anonymously made the case about the FBI officers' character development... That's great and all, but what about JOE THE CULT SERIAL KILLER? What is so charismatic about him that people kept up his cause after S1? (I haven't heard a reply yet on that one.) It just seems like pockets of looney tunes (now with twice as many women!) are just itching to show off how sadistic they are and the FBI is running around like headless chickens. You're telling me people are making human sacrifices in the woods & not one of these weirdos pinged a database anywhere?
The reason I'm so annoyed is that I wanted to LOVE this show. Honestly. Love Bacon, love Purefoy, don't mind the Ashmore (is it Shawn? I should know that). So when it started going to hell I assumed heads would roll, new writers hired...instead some archaic system somewhere is noting that the audience loves everything as is, don't change a thing! I'm sooo confused.

I don't know why I keep watching this show. I kept rolling my eyes during "Praise Joe" and that was the weakest cult leader I've ever seen. Seriously, there's no way a cult leader would ever let another "Alpha" person into their sanctuary. The killings at the book store were disturbing, the ex-wife of the FBI agent who ended up killing herself, should have been shot in the leg so she wouldn't have been able to kill herself.
And of course Claire is alive, of course! No one ever dies in this show except random strangers.

I'm just taking this as camp from now on. It's the only way I can get through this. I sighed heavily at the Claire reveal. I'd much rather the buried FBI agent be alive. Also, there's no way Jana (sp?) didn't f*cking filet that agent. She knifed her hard and deep like four times & kicked the sh*t out of her. So her being alive is also ridiculous. Highlights: Joe taking out the absurd couple, Ashmore's abs.
For a moment I thought the reveal would be Mike (I can't even remember main character names!) walking in to meet Joe.

My amount of care now for this show: I haven't even watched last night's episode and I still came here to read the breakdown and couldn't care less. HA! Now I have to watch this and look at it as you are, bklynred. Just a campy, D-List TV show that is a murder-comedy.
