Loved this, will probably watch it again in a few months to catch things I missed during the first binge-fest.

Glad to see the thread for this. I can't wait until next season! If you have BBC America, it's on demand now.

Yay! We needed this thread. I love the whole cast. Felix is divine and I dig his little "crush" on Allison.

So...is Mrs S a bad guy? Or formerly one, who somewhere along the way of the project had a change of heart?
If I remember correctly, the twins were lost to the project until now. And the birth mother muttered about Mrs S not being who she says she is.

Its funny how this keeps getting referred to as a British show because it seems so Canadian to me what with the Toronto locale and Degrassi guest stars. Although Alison should really be living in Etobicoke not Scarborough. If I had one complaint about the show it is I find some of the acting by the supporting cast is kinda iffy. Felix is awesome and Mrs S. and Max Hedroom are fine. But the detectives and Vic are kinda blah. And Paul is attractive but not terribly charismatic. Since most of the show is Tatiana Mosely it doesn't really matter though. Interestingly I read somewhere that Ellen Page was first considered for the part. I like her too but I don't know if she has the same range. Said this in the British TV thread, by the time it was winding down this had become one of the best shows I'd seen in years. It's not the premise, it's the execution. I agree. I watched about half a season of "Ringer" and after watching "Orphan Black" (I got through the whole season in a couple of days), it occurred to me that "Orphan Black" is what a multiple-identity show should be. It really does pull it off in ways that other shows haven't managed to get right. The twists are actually surprising in addition to being compelling and Tatiana Maslany is just amazing. You really just completely forget that there is one actress playing all of the characters. Can you imagine if she had played the lead in Dollhouse instead of Eliza Dushku? I've read a couple of interviews where the creators slam Ringer. Like this one.

I think Mrs S knows something. Maybe she recognized the woman in the picture. I don't think she's a bad guy. She protected Sarah. Kept her in the dark. Moved them out of England to Canada to protect her.
This show is funded by BBC America, but it's a North American show.

Its funny how this keeps getting referred to as a British show because it seems so Canadian to me [/quote] Well there are the British accents yeah. But it is mostly Canadian eh. They could have a scene like in the Wire (were the two detectives used nothing but " fuck " in all it's expressiveness) were Sarah and Alison use nothing but "yeah" and "eh". I've always felt Mrs S knows more than she's telling but that she's on Sarah's side or the other side would have known about Kira even before she was born.

Yeah, some of the supporting cast is kinda weak in comparison to the main. I guess in this case it's a good thing Tatiana portrays so many characters. I do think Mrs S fled with Kira to protect her, just like she did with Sarah. So it does seem she definitely knows more then she has lead on. In what capacity she gained her knowledge, well, I guess we'll have to wait til series 2.

Sigh..... passed over for everything this morning...but GIRLS was nominated in several categories, as was Homeland and AB. #EMMYFAIL.
The Emmys suck.
