I can't believe there isn't a thread for this already!
Saw it this weekend and seriously did not stop laughing for the entire 1 hour 45 minute runtime. So, so hilarious. It managed to be really meta and inside-Hollywood without it seeming like the writers were full of themselves, which is a tough balance to strike. I think I probably missed a lot of jokes because I was laughing too hard. I'd see it again for sure.
The only thing I didn't like was the Channing Tatum thing near the end. I get the joke, but the way they did it was a little too "let's all laugh at the sex slave/rape victim" for me. Whereas, the earlier rape joke scene with Emma Watson was hilarious.
The ending was PERFECT. I don't think I've been that thrilled by a movie ending in a long time.

The ending was PERFECT. I don't think I've been that thrilled by a movie ending in a long time. I know! It was such a perfect happy dance party ending, I loved it. And it tickles me to think that the guys are all {Spoiler}secret Backstreet Boys fans.

I laughed so hard I was gasping for air at some points. Definitely immature and overly gross (the {Spoiler}masturbation dialogue between James Franco and Danny McBride had me cringing and laughing at the same time), but it really was hilarious. Hopefully word of mouth gets it more attention. Every time I told friends I was seeing "This Is The End" they thought I was confused and meant World War Z or something.

I saw the trailer for this and thought it looked funny, but was worried they showed only the good stuff in the trailer.
Now I may just have to go and check it out!

I thought it was fun, but not especially funny. I liked the idea and the ending, and I have an inexplicable soft spot for Jay Baruchel, but otherwise I guffawed and snickered a few times. It wasn't the LOLfest I had hoped for.
ETA: I haven't seen many of the films they were talking about (Pineapple Express, notably) so I suspect I didn't clue into a lot of the jokes and missed the general tone of the humor. Probably my loss.

Saw this and really liked it. I thought too many funny parts were spilled in the trailers, but overall it was cool. Jay Baruchel is my new, inexplicable crush. As I mentioned elsewhere, the only thing that confused me was Jonah Hill - what about him were they mocking? Is he a dick, a liar, a poser? I feel like he realized he had a gap in his filming schedule and Rogen squeezed him in as part of the posse, but had no time to write relevant jokes about him.
The ending was corny to me, but Jay's outfit--and his absurd happiness--kept making me laugh.
chonies, I'd definitely recommend Pineapple Express, Knocked Up, and maybe Zack & Miri Make a Porno to get immersed in this group's kind of humor.

I just got back from seeing this, and I loved it. I didn't just smirk or chuckle, I was laughing out loud! It exceeded my expectations. I think Danny McBride was my favourite thing about the movie. An unrepentant dirtbag, but really, really funny. Everything he said and did was gold, Jerry! James Franco was a good sport. Rihanna may be a hot mess, but she is fucking beautiful, and cooler than everyone in the room. Or sinkhole. Whatever.
Chonies, I would also add Superbad to bklynred's list.

This was a perfect movie for a Saturday afternoon. We went to a matinee so the theater was 95% empty. Someone did sit directly behind us (seriously?) for about ten seconds before they realized how odd of a decision it was. Maybe my stinkeye had something to do with it. Anyhoo...the movie was very enjoyable. Totally ridiculous, random, and silly. Our herbal refreshment before the movie may have added to it, but I had a blast regardless.

I think this is just a thing where it's just not for me: I've seen Superbad, Zach & Miri, Knocked Up, Freaks & Geeks (and re: Michael Cera specifically, Arrested Development and Scott Pilgrim), and of the above, I'm just lukewarm on the whole deal. I don't hate the movies, I just wonder what I'm missing. And that's ok. Also, I'm hypercritical of comedy for boring reasons, so I also wonder if I'm overthinking it and analyzing everything, and therefore missing the jokes.
But that aside, I was looking for Martin Starr. I knew he was in this, and I was looking for him, but I totally missed him. Anyone catch him?

Martin Starr was in a couple of very brief scenes. When the crowd gathers around the growing sinkhole he's standing just a behind the front group of people peering over. He's sporting a blue(?) jacket, long hair, and beard. He also falls into the sinkhole while his name is called out. All of this goes by quickly, but I love him so I spotted him right away.
