This was fun! I was laughing (that's the mark of me enjoying a big action flick). Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Willem Defoe and the rest of the cast was great, and the CGI was pretty. And now I know what it looks like when a reptile from space fights a giant robot beating it with a fighter-jet landing boat.
That movie looked expensive. Also, Transformers WISHES it could make its action scenes make visual sense like this movie does.

Willem Defoe wasn't in this. I think you're thinking of Burn Gorman, who does look remarkably like a young Willem Defoe. |

Well, the 'Pacific Rim' is a real thing that has nothing to do with sex, if that makes you feel any better about it.

I don't know if I can go to a movie with the word "Rim" in the title. Heeeee, you must be one of my kids cause thats all they alluded to with the title. My son and I saw this yesterday. Great effects, predictable story. My son was getting pissed at me because I called out every plot point before it happened. Even if I found the script easy to figure out, the cast was excellent and gave it their all. |

My sis and I just saw it and loved it. Idris & Charlie are fine looking men. I thought it was a fun summer movie. Shame it's not doing better box office wise.
