It's just so awful. My daughter loves it and insists on watching it, but it's so not good. It's not even cheesy in a good way.

I still like it but I'm not that invested in Skye (an inflatable raft? really?). And why have they made Ming-Na so ornery? She can definitely act, so I can only assume that flat, brusque criticism with a constant grimace is how she was told to play May. Coulson continues to be my favorite (his go-to expression is 'I'm in on the joke'). I liked the premiere & maybe things will improve once they're done with all the exposition involving Skye.
ETA: It could be worse...It could be Mom. Or Dads. Or most of the regular lineup.

I'm not feeling any chemistry with the actors. It feels like they don't like each other.

My sentiments exactly. It may not set the world on fire, but at least people are trying.
I don't feel like I'm on the other side of some ironic inside joke with Seth MacFarlane sitting back with a martini in his post coitus tightie whities shooting the finger at me.

I tried, but I missed the 2nd ep. Saw 20 minutes of the 3rd. Just nothing remotely engaging about the cast sans Coulson & May & neither of them are enough to keep me watching. Also...the Avengers callbacks annoy more than amuse.

I just don't like Skye, and we're supposed to like her, root for her as the normal person in this situation. But she just comes off as unlikable to me

I know it's only been a couple of episodes. Is it the actress? I don't wanna come off all TWOPy about one of the female leads but she's just not very likeable.

Skye is super bland to me. The one interesting thing was her secrecy in the van in the first ep. Once you take that away...she's just hanging around being constantly surprised by the way things go down at SHIELD.
I like the Avenger nods but that's just me. At some point they'll run out of them.

I think Skye is fine. I liked her more than the pretty boy agent and Fitz and Simmons. Chloe Bennett was on Nashville last year and I thought she was pretty good on that. I just think the writing is so bland that none of the younger actors really have much of a chance. Mind you I am basing this on the first one and a half episodes. I found it so boring I gave up. Unpopular opinion, I don't get the big deal about Coulson. He was fine in the movies but nothing special. He doesn't have much charisma. Which is fine in the movies, he was just a supporting player. But I don't think basing a series around him was the best idea.

The supposedly hot dude, isn't. The nerdy geeks are annoying, they need to be hot too. Ming-Na's character is boring and the Mary Sue chick is not likable. I like Coulson but he needs more to work off of, his character was supporting in the movies but he has nothing to support here.
