I was very glad I'd seen TWS just for those extra layers. This was a great episode.

So that's how you do it bitches! The show has totally redeemed itself. Forget the Clairvoyant, it's the freakin' Hydra! I don't follow Marvel, but even I know what Hydra is! Hell, even the boring guy suddenly got interesting. I wish they had hyped this baby up sooner, but they maybe needed to do the tie in with the Capt. American movie, and this is when it came out. Coulson's guys have been toddling around, screwing each other, telling stories, being earnest, and then BAM! All hell breaks loose. We were behind and watched the last 4 episodes last night - they built the suspense with each episode and then it went crazy! this episode was so good - I really don't know who I trust anymore other than Coulson. Can't wait to see what happens. Also now I really have to see the new Capt. America movie.

If Skye is really supposed to have "powers" wouldn't they have come out when under the severe stress in last night's episode?

I think the show has been great since the whole Hydra reveal. I keep waiting to see if they're going to redeem Ward (which I don't want) and after last night, I don't see it happening anytime soon. Looking forward to the finale and Nick Fury next week.

Season finale over and it's been renewed for next year.
Enjoyed that little surprise for Garrett at the end, made me lol.
Still don't know what the hell about Skye, guess that is next season's storyline.
Pretty sure Ward will escape and RETURN, they always do.

I love this show, even with it's flaws. I could do without Skye, but I understand the need to introduce a focal character, and a young girl is a reasonable Buffy-esque choice. I just wish the actress was less Anna Kendrick-ish and more Emma Stone-ish... so far she doesn't exude a lot of personality. Maybe that's on purpose - I would have said the same thing about the Ward character before he went all eeeeevil.
I guess the Whedon's are following a winning format: Skye = Buffy, Coulson = Giles, Ward = Angel, FitzSimmons = the Scoobies, etc. They even imply a couple of Big Bads to hold us over until next season. But add in May and Nick Fury and Bill Paxton chewing the scenery you've just dialed that formula up to 11, which totally works for me.

This show really kicked it up a notch the last few episodes. Early on I could take it or leave it, but I'm definitely more interested in taking it now.

Anyone watching the 2nd season? It's pretty good. Skye still bugs but everyone else is great and there's some hot new guys.

I'm watching and enjoying the new cast. Even Skye isn't quite as bad as she used to be.
