I don't get this "hilarious" practice of smushing cake into your new wife's face. I'da punched the fucker.

Cake smushing is a tradition, but after the groom's dickish way of proposing, I see it as an extra bit of dickishness.
Personally, I'm not crazy about the tradition of everyone standing around watching the bride and groom make out in the middle of the room for three minutes under the guise of "dancing". Real dancing is fine, but it looks like these two were just feeling each other up on the dance floor.

She posted a picture to her IG with the caption "It's a bird. It's a plane. No...it's just a bird". Honey...why are you referencing anything that might link you to your ex (of 2 weeks)? WHY? I don't care if you thought it was funny. It gives people the idea that this whole thing is a big ol' FU to Henry. Well...Henry don't care. He's back with Gina. Count me in as someone who doesn't want a piece of cake smushed in my face. Hell no. My cousin threatened her husband. He got the message. Also...if I'm making out with my husband, it's behind close doors. No need to get your freak on in front of the parents.

I've never understood the practice of smudging cake in your loved ones face. What is romantic or cute about that? Here sweetie I know you are wearing an expensive dress and have spent hours getting professionally styled but let me ruin all that by mushing cake in your face?? I think it speaks to the maturity of the parties involved personally.....
Besides who wants to waste good cake that way?
What's the dickish way he proposed?

I told MrB that our marriage would be short-lived if he smashed cake in my face. I think it is mean and there are a billion other ways to inject fun or humor into a wedding.

What *I* think is funny is she can't even full-stop commit to this "we've only known each other a short time" storyline, given they fudged the 'engaged after three months' timeline (they got engaged in late-ish September and she was photo-opping with HC in early July and they "officially" broke up July 12th--which, btw, is a tidbit almost universally missing from People's coverage on her wedding. PR-driven til the bitter end, this one).

This relationship has been at warp speed since it started.

I missed witchie's comments about the Instagram pic. So she's madly, heed over heels in love with her soulmate and yet on her wedding date she's posting pics referencing her ex? Sure sign this isn't going to last. She's trying to stick it to Cavill but he clearly doesn't give a damn. He's moved on and she hasn't.

I love colored wedding dresses and I hope they get more and more popular. The wedding cake is amazing and I want one in my house.
