Or maybe it was just a joke that has nothing to do with Cavill. I don't get why people need to create drama about this. Did anyone think Kaley and Cavill were in a real relationship anyway? Wasn't it all done as publicity for Man of Steel? I thought that was the consensus.
As for Kaley, I hope she has a solid prenup and good lawyers. No one is expecting this to last or produce children, so it doesn't really matter, but if she didnt plan for the inevitable breakup Ina few months, she's going to be pissed.

Yeah, seems like just a few months back everyone was crowing about the Cavill thing being a fake PR relationship. So either that was real she's really going the extra mile in still trying to sell it as real.
Or maybe this wedding was all just for PR too.

It can't be both? It may have been PR for him and real for her. Maybe she felt used or embarrassed by the PR ploy. Who knows, but if this is the real deal with Ryan, why would Henry enter her mind? I don't know but she's the one making jokes 6 months later about a relationship that doesn't even reach the definition of relationship. IMO, there's something really weird about that.

I just don't get that anyone heard "It's a bird, it's a plane" and their mind immediately goes to a week-long relationship last summer, which may as well be the Precambrian era in celebrity gossip terms. I mean, she works on a show about comic-book geeks - the phrase could have been on her mind from that.
And a publicity relationship usually means the two celebs have an agent or management team in common, and they both meet, agree to it, and hash out the terms, (eg/ three months with an option to renew at the end of it, show up to x even and do y number of staged pap photos). That's how it's supposed to work for all the "relationships" the One Directions guys have had, anyway.

I know next to nothing about her personal life, but I did think it is interesting that her sister is her personal assistant. That has to be somewhat awkward. But, being related to Kaley does seem to be helping her sister's career. It got her on The Voice for awhile and she had a cameo on The Big Bang Theory as well.

I don't get this "hilarious" practice of smushing cake into your new wife's face. I'da punched the fucker. I just knocked two months off of my "broken up in six months" original prediction.

Maybe Kaley's "it's a bird, it's a plane" joke was just because she is aware of the rumours / media / opinions around her past relationship and she's just poking fun acknowledging that? I know nothing of her history other than what has been said in this thread but it seemed like a harmless comment to me.

But really why bring it up on your wedding day?? When you are apparently marrying some guy who you are head over heels for and who you can't wait to marry? The guy who you "dated" for maybe all of a week or two shouldn't really enter into your mind. It seems petty or indicative that's she still hung up on Henry.
And if she's making Superman jokes then I don't know why you'd think of anything but the fact that she dated the dude playing Superman. And she knows that. Just adds to the eye rolling over the quickie wedding.

Just adds to the eye rolling over the quickie wedding. Exactly. It's difficult to divorce her comment from the fact that she dated Henry, who starred as Superman, and their "relationship" ended quickly. She wasted no time getting into a new relationship and a quick engagement and wedding followed. Maybe if she had dated her husband for longer and they got married next year, I'd cut her more slack, but that wouldn't make her comment any less suspicious. It's about the timing for me.
