I saw this yesterday. The CGI and special effects were off the chain fantastic...Asgard was amazing. Superb acting, Portman didn't stink it up too badly at all. Hemsworth and Hiddleston wereinfuckingcredible in their scenes together especially. Plus, they are both smoking hot. I found Malekith above average in the menacing villain department. I had my doubts, "Elf? Who's gonna be afraid of an elf?" Cons: Odin was crankier, not enough Sif, not enough Frigga (but she got to be a badass for a minute). I never understood why the Thor franchise absolutely HAD TO HAVE that Zach/Chuck guy play one of Thor's friends. He brought nothing to the role. He was a lawn chair.

Saw it yesterday. Enjoyable, kind of wish I had sprung for 3D. I felt dirty watching the gratuitous Thor shirtless scene but didn't look away. Hiddleston was very good and the brothers scrabbling was realistic. Portman was OK, I don't believe the "love" between them much. I wasn't into Thor comics so not too sure of the storyline. Kat Dennings stole any scene she was in. Chris O'Dowd was adorable. I didn't realize that was Christopher Eccleston as Malekith until the credits. For some reason we found the elf masks/armor hilarious and would giggle every time we saw one. I didn't quite know what was going on with how they were fighting them at the end, I know it's just a movie but HUH?

People who started acting young always lose something when they take on adult roles. I always thought she was kind of blah anyway. Not my cup of tea, either.

I loved it. So much better than the first movie.

Not to mention the best surprise cameo EVER. That was my favorite part! Though "Ta da!" is a close second.

Great movie, the first one seems silly in comparison.

Haven't seen it but my friend who did said Jane made her homicidal. You're a brilliant physicist, but you're so wound up over a man you knew for all of three days that you don't do any science- until there's a chance of seeing Mr. Abs again. Then you're all over it! Blech.
