I watched it out of curiosity on Netflix a while back, and...yeah. Boring as well. Miserable people having sex.
And I agree the end was absolutely terrible. I actually thought, "Wow. At least LVT allowed Stellan's character to be a decent human being instead of...nope. Spoke too soon. OF COURSE he does this. Jesus." And I really should have seen the gun thing coming from a million miles away. It practically had "CHEKOV'S GUN" flashing on the screen when it was shown.
