I feel like this is going to end with Charlene staying in France and the kids going to see her/kids going to school in France and staying with her. Either way, I doubt she's coming back.

She just seems immobilized by depression or grief. I hope she’s able to find relief soon. I think the last person I’ve seen in the public eye to be so obviously unhappy is Empress Masako.

People magazine has an exclusive interview with Albert, she’s in a treatment facility of some kind, so it’s not just a rest. She had an intervention as well. She looks absolutely terrible as of late, I hope she gets the help she needs.

I feel so terrible for her and the kids to be without their mother. I hope she can get the peace she needs.

Just hoping that her treatment is effective and she can find peace.

She's obviously miserable, so hoping this treatment facility can help her.

Why did the Palace (or press) think that she could resume her royal duties right away after being sick and having several surgeries (and losing half her body weight) for six. months? It seems like expectations could have been managed better, no?
I hope she gets well.

I guess I just don't understand all the conspiracy theories. If Charlene is so miserable and unhappy, she can leave. As evidenced by the fact that she did a trip to South Africa recently. It cannot be true that she's being held hostage or something. The royal in Dubai managed to escape. And Charlene has friends and family and heck even government officials in South Africa she can turn to if she wanted out.
I am confusion with this whole thing. Do the royals of Monaco not allow divorce? The only thing I can think of is that she's battling a severe mental health condition :-( It's really sad that the narrative around her marriage has been one of misery from day one. I really just don't get why she doesn't flee the palace if she is deeply miserable about her marriage.
(not victim shaming/blaming), as I said it's just confusing to me what the actual problem is.

I would assume that it’s because of her children. She doesn’t want to leave them, and probably can’t take them with her.

How supportive are the Wittstocks though? They show up to a lot of events in Monaco with the princely family, even in Charlene's absence. They seem to enjoy the association. Maybe that's because Albert is legitimately a great guy and this is legitimately a great marriage, but maybe not. I remember how one of Diana's sisters, ahead of her wedding to Prince Charles, said something along the lines of "well, your face is already on the tea towels so you can't back out now." Diana was having reservations but was encouraged to keep moving forward. Of course, that was the 80s and times have changed, but I wouldn't always assume that family members motivations are always 100% just about supporting one another. Maybe they enjoy getting to make appearances on the balcony of the pink palace.
Of course, I have no idea what the real story is in Monaco, but it's entirely possible that Charlene's family is encouraging her to make the situation work. And I totally agree that the children play a big role in that. If she were to leave Monaco, I'm sure she wouldn't feel she gets to see them enough.
