Something about there being a lot more light, I think.
So whaddup with the Yellow King? And what was Carcosa, a mythological hell? I'll need to read a good recap, or rewatch the series b/c I'm still not clear on a lot of stuff.

I am sufficiently creeped out, and have checked the locks, just in case. I'm not sure I breathed during those last 30 minutes. Like Seven meets Silence of the Lambs creepy stuff there.
But there was a lot of mumbling in that final scene.

I swear they're doing that to punish the unscrupulous among us, that aren't watching on a television with benefit of closed captioning. I just said suck it, and assumed it was something moderately positive, and let it go. Lots of unanswered questions, but I can live with the conclusion.

"The Sky...Once there was only dark, but if you ask me, the lights went out." I watched it on my computer with headphones, so that helps making out the words. Overall, that was an intense last half of the show. The Yellow King/Childress Jr. was a twisted SOB and I was really worried for Rust and Marty's lives. Glad that this wasn't to be their demise. And my theory of minor characters that know too much (or perceive to be around places too conveniently) and are really the killer will live on.

"Once upon a time, there was only darkness. If you ask me, the light is winning." That was Rust's last line.
I have closed captioning and I never watch TV without it.
I am confused though, I thought all TV's were made with closed captioning; I have a TV that I bought in 1992 and it has it.

Once Rust said "Clear the house!" I was as panicked as I was during the drug score. I assumed one or both would die & found myself cataloging all the weird crap thinking, "He can't get rid of all that before the tapes go out, right? The house, dad, the sticks, carcosa..." Very nervous.

"Once upon a time, there was only darkness. If you ask me, the light is winning." That was Rust's last line. Wow! Even with headphones that sounds nothing like that. Crazy. Thanks for that! HBO made a music video featuring all eight episodes with the finale song. The Angry River - truly haunting.

It's incredibly annoying to do because stupid Comcast doesn't have a button on the remote to turn it on and off. I have to turn the box off, go to a menu, go to a submenu, and then I can switch it on and off. It doesn't work all that well with live shows or the late night talk shows so most of the time I don't bother with it. Aaaaanyway, thanks for the translation.

Ugh, I always heard that Comcast sucked even MORE than Time Warner, which I thought was impossible. At least with Time Warner you do the closed captioning from the remote, either the cable remote or the TV remote. I liked the ending because I was seriously afraid we'd find out that all of this was in somebody's head or some Twilight Zone shit.
