I'm somewhere between episodes 4-7 of Her Private Life and I'm not feeling it. I may watch the last episode and see if I like the ending enough to watch all of it.
Mystic Pop-Up Bar is next. I like Hwang Jung Eum. I think the second thing I saw her in was as a sort of sugar baby in Little Mom Scandal on Drama fever. It was a seriously D-list drama about teen moms and how messed up their lives could be. It was so great that I probably watched it 5 times. One of the couples lied to each other about where they were going to be that night and then literally bumped into each other at a club trying to pick up other people. The drama even ended with them having a second unplanned pregnancy.

It was hilarious for me to watch her fall deeper and deeper inro the BTS hole but also see it play out in K-drama world. There's a twist in there which is kind of easy to guess. Mystic Pop-Up Bar was really good. I remember crying during a few episodes. Lol my favorite part of the entire series was the chemistry of the cast. I love it when all the actors/actresses just seem to click.

I'm still on about ep 9 or 10 of Her Private Life. I'm enjoying it but it's not compelling. More for eye candy than anything. Still working on Mystic Pop-Up Bar but have not seen an episode that I didn't like yet. I think I'm on ep 7.

I just finished Run On on Netflix, this show is more character driven then plot driven so it has a bit of a slow pace.
I really enjoyed this drama, it was a nice break from the typical K-dramas. There are still some hilarious scenes, mainly with the lead male actor, he's this naive athlete who hasn't really been exposed to anything outside of his world, but he has a moral compass so you root for him. The lead actress is a strong character too, she's more knowledgeable in life and doesn't need protecting, she actually protects him a few times. Their relationship has pretty good communication, compared to other K-dramas.
I loved, loved, loved the 2nd lead actress. Loved her hair, I loved how strong and in control she was. The first few episodes I thought she'd be a villain, but she's not. She grows on you.
There really isn't a villain in this drama, just people who aren't perfect. The secondary characters are all great. I think this is the first time I saw an "asexual character" in the K-drama world and she was well written. There's also a character who comes out gay, also well written and though he initially isn't supported by family, it comes around. I hope these two characters show that Korea as a country is becoming more tolerant of things like that.
On a sidenote, the mom of the male lead character is supposed to be a famous actress. When they discuss her movies in the show, even the one she's filming during the show, it makes me want to watch them.

I'm on episode 10 of Mystic Pop Up Bar. I had to stop watching and go to bed last night. I think the flashbacks to tell the story were done better here than in Goblin; much less repetitive.
The grudge stories all made me tear up, especially the ones dealing with children, and the ancestor trying to save his descendant.

Okay so I finished Mystic Pop-Up Bar and liked it! I just wanted him to call them mom and dad at the end.
Vincenzo sounded really interesting but there were only 2 episodes at that point, so I started watching WandaVison. I don't know what is next, either the daily drama that I started and already forgot about or maybe I'll go back to the Tale of the Nine-Tailed. I do love me some Lee Dong Wook. Maybe it will be the weekend drama about the tailors or the boarding house. It won't be til the weekend though, because my TV died this morning.

I cried so many years on the last few episodes of Mystic Pop Up Bar. It was such a pleasant surprise of a K-drama. I've watched 2-3 episodes of Tale of the Nine-Tailed and I just can't get into the drama. I want to like it so much because of the premise, but I'm just not feeling it. I'll try again in a few months. I also want to watch Mouse which is on Viki. Lee Seung-gi is in it and although, looks-wise, there are far better looking Korean actors than him. However, for whatever reason, he is probably my favorite Korean actor. He has awful taste in dramas though. I watch whatever show/drama he's on. (Non-Kdrama related, if you have time, watch his show with Jasper Liu on Netflix called Twogether. It's the two of them traveling around southeast asia like Indonesia and Thailand to meet their fans. Their fans send them letters and tell them what places to visit in their country, they both go around completing challenges to get their next clue, with the final clue leading them to their fan who gets to meet them. I really enjoyed it because it took you to various parts of the countries not usually visited by tourists. I want to say they ended up in Nepal as the last country they visited.)

Hospital Playlist Season 2 is killing me with the last episode - four character with reveals that made me want to cry! It's also continuing to cement my love for Jo Jung Seok and everything he does.
Racquet Boys also has me sucked in. I started Monthly Magazine Home, but as much as I love Jung So Min, I'm having a hard time remembering to watch it.

My mom absolutely loves him! (I do too, but not as much). She yells at Song-hwa and holds her arms up like "why don't you like him?!" The scene last week where Ikjun was walking around talking to everyone, hearts were shooting out of my mom's eyes. Lol And Jun-wan, my heart breaks for him. He's so lonely. I just want his friends to spend more time with him.

Apparently Squid Game is all the rage, but I haven't watched it yet!
Viki apparently switched from Followed Shows to Watchlist and everything I saved prior to 2021 disappeared. Luckily it came back and I just started a daily drama, Be My Dream Family. Like all daily dramas, the families are hot messes. Since the plot revolves around an older couple getting married, it means we don't have to worry about their kids getting together!
