Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy

I hope this series merits a thread! The third book, Dreams of God and Monsters, just came out this month -- it's been a long time coming, about a year and a half since the last one. I liked it, but while it sort of resolves the central relationship, it leaves a lot of potential for future stories. As far as I can tell, Laini Taylor isn't planning on continuing the series. Has anyone else been reading these books?

I read the first one when it was my book group's book for discussion (while it was still in hardcover), and despite it normally being a book I would have picked up (I'm not a big reader of science fiction,fantasy,etc.), I liked it. I've subsequently read book 2, and am looking forward to book 3 (Unlike non-fiction, I don't usually buy fiction in hardcover, so I'll borrow it from the library most likely.)

I love these books! I recently started working at a bookstore and recommend them all the time. So far most people have come back for the second. I can't believe I didn't realize the third was coming out. I swear I'm good at my job! I also really like her other series...the with the fairies. I will have to look up the titles.

I'll have to check the fairy series out! I think the DoMaB series is being adapted for film by Universal -- from the way Laini Taylor has been speaking about this, it seems likes it actually might go forward (there's a director and a script apparently), though who knows when that would happen. Apart from the worry I always have when books I love are made into movies, that I'll *hate* the casting, I wonder how they'll pull off the creature effects without looking too fake. I want them to do Brimstone justice!
