So I finally joined Previously.TV, the site run by former TWOPians. It seems to have attracted a lot of the old TWOP posters, especially in the Supernatural forum. I recognized the usual screen names posting vitriolic, essay-length screeds about how awful Sam/Jared is.
The site's layout isn't too bad, the shows are listed in alphabetical order instead of by category. But I don't think it'll reach the popularity of TWOP in it's glory days.

I miss the category layouts. I spent a lot (too much!) time in the basement threads, clicking on shows that would pop up on the first page. I probably won't seek the same shows out in an alphabetical format. And when I search the alpha layout, all the shows aren't listed at once, so you have to click on the letter to see all the shows.

I don't think it will either. Mainly because times are different, there are more places to go if you want to discuss TV shows, there are more sites doing recapping as well. |

Now that twop is gone, I realize I was going to it out of habit more than anything. I don't miss it.
I signed up for previously.tv when twop first announced their shutdown and haven't been back since.

I'm not fond of the layout, but I like how laid-back the previously.tv mods are. It's easier to call people out on having shitty opinions without getting dinged for being boards on boards.

A couple of PreTV posters were reminiscing about TWOP/Howard and this exchange occurred:
The Mighty Peanut said: "Indirectly acknowledging the existence of the internet is boards on boards. Now go to to your room and think about what you did."
And someone else responded to that with:"See there? This is why we can't have nice things."

I actually like the format of previously TV better because I can choose the shows I want to follow, click on "content you follow" and not have to hunt for a show if I just want to read the thread.

So I finally joined Previously.TV, the site run by former TWOPians. I just noticed that these aren't just any former TWOPians. This crew includes Sars (Sarah D. Bunting) and Wing Chun (Tara Ariano), the OG TWOPians (dating back to Mighty Big TV)! Squee (for Sars)! |
