Just watched the first episode; I wasn't crazy about the premise from the previews, but I love sci-fi so I wanted to check it out.
Parts of it were sooooo bad, like Berry's acting, Goran's hair and the "alien seduction" scene (I laughed my butt off).
But I'm still intrigued enough to see where they're going with it. And that robot kid is so creepy!

Yeah, it was pretty bad, even for a pilot, but it has promise. I watch a few more times to see if it gets better.

As expected, HB was bad. But the whole pilot took 3 attempts to get through. The 2nd ep was slightly better.

Wow, this is actually getting pretty good! And it moves so fast!
I'm really interested in Julie right now; what's her backstory? Did she have an affair with John at some point, or does she just feel like she's Ethan's real "mom"? Either way, this Odin dude is up to no good.
And Gordon is so creepy. But in a good way. Eek!

I watch the show because I like sci-fi and am curious about where it will go next, and simultaneously think it's bad. Characters keep behaving in stupid ways just to keep the show going. I'd be very surprised if it's renewed for a second season.

That kid playing Ethan is adorable. The chick who looks like Meryl Streep (I know : her daughter, but it's off-putting), does she have a crush on the husband, or what?

Extant was just renewed for a second season. Wow. I really wasn't expecting this! Hopefully we'll find out what's happening with Goran's boss and Jack Bauer's girlfriend, and Julie and Charlie will kick Odin's butt. And Gordon, heck, he wasn't even in the finale! But at least they didn't kill off Victor from Dollhouse. |
