It got much better toward the end of the season. I was so glad they sped up the plot, because let's face it, the acting is not good enough to sustain a drawn out mystery. Show the alien(s) and let hell start to break loose!

Side note: thank goodness Ethan's forcible reboot eliminated his creepy bird fixation. That almost made me quit watching.
