Also, if this was the case would it make sense that he was leaving his little boy (who I think- I could very likely be wrong- has special needs) with her- a supposed addict?

I would assume leaving the kid with Anna also means leaving the kid with a nanny. That's not a dig--I think you can love your kid and still really enjoy having 24/7 help! At the risk of sounding callous, if she's appeared drunk in inappropriate contexts more than once I feel comfortable assuming she has a problem and while he sometimes seems like a sanctimonious ass, I would never encourage someone to stay in a relationship with an addict or fault someone for not wanting to do it.

Also I know the rules are different for celebrities, but in 'real' divorces I think a constantly-traveling-for-work parent would have a very difficult time getting primary custody when the other parent is geographically stable unless the geographically stable parent had fucked up far more than she probably has.

I don't think he has special needs. Anna has said that although he was premature, he "caught up very quickly to his age group".

He wears glasses and has had eye surgery done, that is his only special need.

There was a blind item reveal- that basically confirms what has been said here. She wants family, he wants to travel, and she has a drinking problem.

I still contend - if she's a drunk and he doesn't fight for custody that makes him an a$$hole. (I retract the idea that the child was special needs, I was conflating the birth issues with continuing issues, it doesn't really matter though). He may not have a good chance- but... umm... yeah way to be a great dad- Your mom has drinking issues; ok, check ya later I'm off to make movies in my newest fancy locale'- see you in a few months kid. Nannies may be taking care of the child- but that doesn't negate the fact that he's a shitty dad for letting a nanny raise his child whilst he chooses his career.

** this is making a presumption- if he fights for custody I retract above statements. The reveal also says she's in rehab... so if she kicks it good for her... and if the separation is just a separation than maybe the above will be moot. Also- perhaps if she's in rehab he already has the boy??

Patti Stanger opened her trap to reveal that Chris hasn't moved out of the house. That could be how he is ensuring their son's safety, and would make sense as to why a legal separation was required.

Honestly, assuming that Anna's rumored alcoholism is legitimate, and he's been filming all over the world, he's already left his son in that situation for an extended period of time.

I doubt he fights for custody, I think there's gonna be a international nanny doing a lot of flying.

I also think he gets a younger, up and coming famous actress girlfriend in like, the minute he moves out of the house.
