He's always been my lowest rank Chris, by a wide margin, and once again he shows what a jerk he is. I don't believe that he "didn't mean it the way he sounds" although I will concede it was probably aimed more at Anna than his son. |

I actually don’t think he meant it as an intentional slight to Anna or their son. Saying XYZ child is happy, healthy, beautiful, etc. is kind of standard parent talk. I think he just didn’t realize how it came across in this situation, probably because he’s either an idiot or a self centered d-bag, or a combination of both. His entire post is cringe worthy. I really can’t tell if it’s a failed attempt at humor or he’s just a total asshole. Given his history, I’ll go with the latter.

I don't think any of his caption was meant to be shade towards Anna or his son. However, I do hold him accountable for not throwing in a sentence about how awesome she is with Jack. The fact that a baseball card made it into the caption but not his son spoke volumes.
(To play devil's advocate, a part of me also thinks that he purposely left your Jack because he didn't want people saying that Jack already has a mom. It's why I stand by my statement that he simply could have said "I'm thankful with how awesome she is with Jack.")

It was a poor choice of words. Part of me knows he didn’t mean anything negative towards Jack but with Chris being an evangelical Christian, part of me thinks he may see Jack as some sort of “punishment “ from God. I am sure he loves his son but I think his birth to a certain extent may have traumatized Chris.

I think even if he didn't mean it as an intentional jibe at his ex-wife or son, like... that's your kid. It's your job to think about your words as a parent. And of course, parents are human and nobody's perfect! I get that. But if he had time to write up all those cringey jokes and post that whole thing, he had time to think about that aspect of things too. Even leaving that part aside, it all just read as very ME ME ME, my wife is awesome because of all she does for ME and because I'm a big dumb MAN and all I can do is open pickle jars and not any emotional labor hurr hurr!
Is it a "cancel him forever" offense? By itself, no. Is it annoying as hell? For me, yes.

He has definitely said Jack's premature birth was tramautic, but he has never stated that it was a punishment from God. Without knowing for sure what is in his heart and mind or what is preached at his church, I don't think we can jump to this conclusion. "Evangelical christian" is a huge umbrella that covers a lot of churches, all which seem to teach different beliefs. The one he attends is supposedly "cool" church and I think they are willing to preach whatever will keep Pratt and Beiber in the pews. I am surprised that Katherine participates because I was under the belief that she was raised Catholic. I could not tell if the post was supposed to be jokey or not, so he definitely could've worded it better and could've at least included "she's great with Jack," or "she's a wonderful step-mom," which acknowledges her role in Jack's life while not stepping on Anna's toes. I don't think he has bad intentions, but he's kind of a dumb meathead. |

He is more than a dumb meathead, he's a disgusting jerk. He has done several really awful things that have made me really not like him and actually not want to watch anything with him in it. Whether he intended this to be hurtful or not this post is full of all kinds of cringe. Someone on another board commented that this post looks like a post you see an abusive partner post a few weeks before his wife goes "missing". (I laughed at that- I don't truly think he's homicidal).
He is a sexist, animal abusing, trump supporting, gross person.

The Pratt-Schwarzeneggers definitely attend St. Monica's Catholic Church on a regular basis, which is the church Katherine was raised in. In fact, Pratt never posts anything about "his" church (Hillsong?) but will frequently post about what an amazing service or what a great sermon Father So-and-So gave at St. Monica's. |

I don't think he has bad intentions, but he's kind of a dumb meathead. I'm pretty sure it's not intentional, but that just means he's so self absorbed that he can't think of how this would be perceived by his son when the entirety of the internet appreciated it. Neither is a good look. |
