Anyone watch? It was the cast that got me interested, and they delivered. It really captured that underlying everpresent tension in families that are hanging by a thread. So much so, that it can be uncomfortable to watch at times. The only negative is the narration used for Peter Sargaard's character. It was very easy to see by his body language and facial expressions what he was thinking. So take a break narrator, he's got this.

I watched! And I would have been tempted to slap too. I have corrected other peoples kids, but I'd never hit them.

I don't know who that little actor was, but he perfectly captured that kid you have to try very hard to keep from slapping. That's a line most people don't cross, but in some cultures it's commonplace, and even in the U.S. there are still several school districts that allow for corporal punishment as long as the parent signs an agreement. There's a gray area that exists that is interesting, and uncomfortable, to explore.

We're watching. I like it a lot (but I totally agree about the narration. It's an odd choice). Interesting show. The relationships are complex and realistic. I appreciate the racial diversity. HGTV and I both agree -- who in the world would cheat on Thandie Newton??

Is anyone else watching? I have to admit that I find this show veers into unintentional hilarity a lot, for me. But the actors are very, very solid. I didn't know what the most recent episode had to do with the eponymous slap, and the pregnancy thing was pretty groanworthy to me, but I was really impressed with Uma Thurman and Blythe Danner.

Did anyone else slog through all eight episodes? Just me? The episodes went from good (Hector,Harry), to dull (Manolis), to unnecessary (Anouk) to awful (FML the Connie episode was terrible. So is Mackenzie Leigh tbh). All those eps could have been consolidated into a. 2 hour sweeps event. I don't know what it says about me that I found Harry less awful than Rosie. Also, reading the recap on Previously.tv Tara Ariano (Wing Chun) rated the most sympathetic character as second most slappable. How is a kind-hearted suicidal teenager that is a victim of a hate crime more awful than a wife beater and histrionic basket-case? I might need Iyanla to go fix Wing Chun's life.

I made it through all 8 episodes, mostly to see the ending. I loved the judge because she gave Rosie her comeuppance, while handing down the only verdict she could. I hated Rosie. I hate parents who think their kid's shit don't stink. She constantly wavered between "We treat Hugo as an equal" (at the preschool) to "He's a CHIIIIIIIIIILD!" (to everybody else).
