Some of them do, but the general consensus seems to be that they made the right call given the circumstances: LINKAs I've said before, I think reasonable doubt was firmly established when Fuhrman pled the fifth when asked if he planted evidence in this case. Even if they found O.J. guilty, there's a good possibility his conviction would have been overturned on appeal based on that alone. It was.

Talking about great casting on this show, the actor who played the jury foreman on ACS, Susan Beaubian, played OJ's wife in the Naked Gun movies! Full circle

Good program. Now let's have some balance, let's see them to a show about "The Central Park Five" which was a REAL travesty of justice, what happens when you allow the state to dictate who's guilty. Now THAT was a case where race really did matter.
I too wonder if OJ had CTE which would explain a lot, I always felt he was guilty, that maybe something happened to his brain when he was playing football, maybe I wasn't wrong.
I don't know about the real Chris Darden, someone once told me he didn't like black women, but I don't know if that's true. According to the movie, his senses were on target about Fuhrman (or Mark Vermin as some people called him back then). Darden saw right through him.

Here's an interesting interview with one of the jurors, conducted by the juror's goddaughter.

Martin Sheen will produce a show for Discovery ID that entertains alternative theories and suspects: LINKThis isn't surprising. Charlie is a big conspiracy fan.

Interview with Kenneth ChoiInterview with Sterling K. BrownOne last interview with Marcia ClarkInteresting that according to Marcia, before the verdict was read Johnnie thought he had lost. Apparently for the Emmys Cuba, Courtney Vance and Sarah Paulson are all submitting as leads. Everyone else is submitting as supporting. I think out of the men Cuba gave the weakest performance and Courtney the strongest. I'd love to see Sterling get some award recognition too. I wasn't familiar with him before and he really blew me away. NBC is jumping on the wagon now and doing a Law and Order: True Crime mini series. First up for them is the Menendez brothers. I don't think it will be as successful. The Menendez brothers had a very distinct look. Good luck finding two actors who look like them. I'm not really looking forward to the next season of ACS. I'll give it a shot because I was very dubious about OJ and it turned out great. But I have concerns. Its going to be Hurricane Katrina which is fine. But apparently Ryan Murphy is taking a bigger role in the writing and the two showrunners for OJ are leaving. I think the reason why OJ worked so well is it had a pretty structured narrative. Murphy couldn't mess around with it too much. With Katrina it is supposedly going to be fictionalized so lots of room for him to mess it up. His shows tend to start to go off the rails after the first season as it is. My choice for future seasons would be JonBenet Ramesy. Although that one has no resolution so it wouldn't be as satisfying. Maybe if you want to go back further Patty Hearst? Charles Manson? That one seems to be done a lot though.

Yeah, the alternate theory of that ID program is that OJ's son, Jason, is the murderer. That Dear dude basically stalked him for years to come up with his bullshit scenario.

I was thinking they should consider Menendez bros or Jodi Arias, or even Adnan/Serial.

I don't know why Johnnie Cochran would have thought he had lost. I was watching on TV when the verdict was read and OJ was smirking before they read it. He looked for all the world like he knew he'd get off. Mark Fuhrman did that for him.

CBS has announced they're doing a JonBenet Ramsey miniseries already. There are plenty of high-profile true crime cases to choose from though.
