TLC officially cancelled the show in July but rumors of a possible spin-off for Jill and Jessa have continued to swirl. I speculate that this week's People cover story was a trial balloon to see if there was enough of an audience left for either a spin-off or occasional specials (a la Kate Plus 8). I think this week's scandal probably killed those plans.

Is Josh actually admitting to cheating on Anna? The original statement made it sound like it might have just been the porn addiction that constituted the unfaithfulness. Removing that part makes it sound like he unambiguously is a cheater. Strange.

I just can't imagine there's another woman in the world who would have sex with Josh Duggar...unless she's a pro.

I wonder, if they aren't completely cut out of the special for this, if their involvement would be showing how victims try to minimize what happened by excusing the behavior, trying to block out memories, etc. If they don't see themselves as victims, they should be shown as the examples of what not to do/believe.


As far as Josh...karma will always come back to bite you in the butt. I can't wait until it hits JB and Michelle as hard. I only wish that Anna wouldn't be a doormat and think that his behavior was somehow her fault but at this point, I think she's beyond hope. Sadly, since she'll stay with him and he has to tow the line, I foresee many more children as per her wishes.

Yeah, I agree. I mean, I would be pretty pissed if I discovered my spouse had multiple dating profiles, but I don't think messing around online is the same thing as actual cheating and actually putting flesh into practice. Obviously, it's different in the context of everyone's partnerings, but yeah--it's hard to tell if he's confessing to cheating, or sorry he got caught further tarnishing his family's reputation/income stream.

I'm guessing there were some pros. I doubt he met anyone through Ashley Madison. According to this dude, you have to wade through all kinds of scammers, sugar babies and weirdos to find normal side action there.  Before this news I was skeptical about rumored Josh sightings in Arkansas strip clubs, but now I think Josh probably did all manners of bad behavior.
