I loved it, very enjoyable and the Pixar short film "Lava" was excellent.

I have seen a lot of hate for "Lava" but I thought it was ADORABLE!

My kids didn't like it They thought it was boring and the song cheesy (they're 8 and 6). I thought it was sweet!

Just got back from seeing this and loved it! I cried hard when bing-bong sacrificed himself for Joy, and when Joy finally let the bag of happy memories become nostalgia, with a tinge of blue. I chuckled at the "bear" in San Francisco joke and the throw-away 'Chinatown' line. I always love it when Pixar sneaks in some humour for the adults.

I was pretty underwhelmed. Thought the pacing was pretty slow and Bing-bong was useless. The entire section of him and Joy was boring and felt shoe-horned in to somewhat match the main plot. The best part of the movie was the bits during the credits.
Also thought Lava was the worst of all the Pixar shorts.

But the Spoiler C L O W N!!!!! One of my favorite parts, even though it was just a couple of seconds, was when Spoiler Joy bopped against his giant squeaky nose to try and wake him up. Lava was sweet, but not one of my favorites. I saw a behind the scenes interview and the animators were challenged by the fact that volcanoes can't move, which clearly showed. Inside Out was interesting because I'm not used to animation without a villain. Overall I'd rate it in the middle of the pack. I felt guilty during the first part of the movie because I disliked Sadness so much I wanted to punch her. But it was nice how they incorporated her into the message at the end. And Bing-bong really got to me.

The only bit I really enjoyed was when we got a quick look inside the parent's heads, could have done with a little bit more of that and less of Bing-bong.
