Does anyone watch the wonderful Australian prison show Wentworth? It's like a very, very, serious OITNB. It's a remake of Prisoner Cell Block H, which I hear was very popular in its day. Here's the IMDB description.

I watch it! I marathoned all the seasons at the beginning of this past summer. I think it's FANTASTIC. So looking forward to the new season!

Funny - I was just wondering if this show should have a thread here. I am obsessed with it. I marathoned all three seasons last week, and now I am watching them all again. Season 2 is when the show really won me over. Bea's evolution is amazing.

Can we talk about how amazing Pamela Rabe is as Ferguson? She scares the crap out of me! The performance is phenomenal!

She's fantastic! Apparently, there are no supporting actor categories in the Australian version of the Emmys so she didn't get a nomination (Danielle Cormack deservedly won for playing Bea), which is a shame. I've watched and read some interviews with her and I love that she is self-aware and forthright about her looks and how they impact the types of roles she gets. She's been able to turn what might be a limitation into an asset by embracing opportunity to be a deeply complex character actor.
