Just wondering Greecies' thoughts on this. I'd never seen a Rocky movie so I was skeptical, but over Thanksgiving damn near every one of my friends saw it and raved about it. I'm always looking for media with POC in them, and saw this over the weekend. It indeed delivered. Cool callbacks that I remembered from clips I've seen over the years, and the score really helped hype it up. Michael B. Jordan and Stallone had great chemistry as well. Not sure where the franchise goes from here, but Ryan Coogler did a great job with this. I'm down to watch the 1st three Rockys at some point now for more clarification.

I loved it as well. I find it really interesting that the writers of this film and the new Star Wars movie did a better job at the understanding what made the originals so great and channeling that into the sequels, than the creators of the original films did for their sequels/prequels.

In so many ways Creed and Force are are remakes. I watched the first Rocky last night. There are a lot of similarities. Rocky 2 was always my favorite, and Rocky 3 is okay. I hated Rocky 4, and never saw the rest.


I cried through so much of this film. I'll definitely see it again.

Saw it 2 days ago, at my favorite theater for popular movies, United Artists on Court Street, and loved it. I hope Ryan Coogler is too busy for a sequel with his (hopefully) directing Black Panther. Michael B. Jordan just gets better and better. And I've forgotten how great Stallone is as Rocky. I definitely teared up a few times. One of the things I love about the original Rocky is that it's a love letter to Philadelphia & this movie is just like that.
