Did no one watch this? Good. Because it was terrible.
I watched this on the plane. Will Smith was Will Smith the whole damn time. I didn't even know for awhile he was in this movie (because of the focus on Leto's Joker) but he was basically the star of the show, assassin with a heart of gold.
And I'm still really mad that Ben Affleck has ruined Batman.

Just saw it and I'm glad I waited until it was TV. Disjointed mess. None of the performances were interesting.

I just didn't really care about any of the characters or what happened to them. DC just ain't doing a great job with the movies. While Batman v Superman wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, it still wasn't great. When you resolve the tension between the two leads by having them realize their moms have the same name (without addressing the actual reason why they were fighting) and a jar of piss is a plot point in your movie, you should probably go back to the drawing board. Man, I hope Wonder Woman is good. Mostly because the blame won't entirely be "DC sucks at this" and will be placed on "No one wants to see a movie solely about a female superhero."

I went to see it with zero expectations and as such it was sort of fun, mindless entertainment (wee! costumes! explosions!) But there was no substance whatsoever and it's not something I would have wanted to see if a friend and I weren't going on a lark just to have some girl time and enjoy mindless entertainment. The sad thing is, there is much potential for a good movie there. HQ, Deadshot, and Diablo all have interesting enough backstories to build a film around and the movie could have had some soul if the "squad" was just them. Oh, and if they had a mission that made sense. Stopping a goddess-like being who's sole power seems to be in doing a shimmy shimmy dance was not interesting at all. This 6 minute parody is WAAAAAAY more fun and entertaining than the 2 hour movie was. Killer Croc dancing Lady Gaga choreography? More please!

I watched this over the weekend. It was a whole lot of nothing.

Minor nitpick- What idiot decided to put Harley in booty shorts and five inch heels on a battlefield? Was she supposed to have picked out her own uniform? Because I really doubt they'd give her that much freedom, so it suggests that Amanda Waller signed off on booty shorts and five inch heels, which I cannot buy for a moment. Waller's not a nice person, but she's not an idiot.
Not to mention her "Property of the Joker" jacket. It seems like the jacket is something the screenwriters added because they thought it was funny, but who on earth would have signed off on it? Waller? She'd have set fire to the damn thing. Flagg? I can't believe he'd have been fine with her outfit considering they're going into combat.
Harley's outfit stands out even more because she is the only one dressed like that. Even Katana has a reasonably sensible outfit- with cleavage and a crop top (eyeroll), but at least she's wearing pants and sane shoes. And the guys all get armor, or at least regular pants and shirts. Ugh.
And the changing scene bugged me. Here she is surrounded by men while wearing skimpy underwear and to underline the point everyone stops moving and gawks at her breasts in a red satin bra. Bleh.

Waller's not a nice person, but she's not an idiot. But she really is. She kept the Enchantress' heart with her and stabbed it repeatedly (why not give it to some random government lackey, have him go God knows where, and only someone who isn't Waller can reach him), she put Flagg and June Moon together (seriously, WTF?), she assembled a team of villains and only one of them was a godkiller (Mayan fire dude), the rest were expendable humans and a mutant. I'm really afraid now that David Ayer is in charge of Gotham City Sirens. He cannot write female characters, his movies are disjointed, too long messes, and after watching the horrible Sabotage, it seems like his movies are getting worse.

we saw this on cable over the weekend. The music started to bug me - I felt like when they lost the plot, they just put in a 70s song and hoped that took care of it. members of the squad were ok, although some of them barely had a story. Harley Quinn was ok but I had a visceral hate of the Joker. I felt like Leto was trying SO HARD - and still seemed derivative. Also what a lousy villain - I was embarrassed for her when she was having to shimmy onstage and why was that? to keep all that stuff in the air? They really just threw that character out there without much development. Also the short appearance of Batman reminded that Affleck is no Christian Bale. It should have been a lot more fun.
