I binge watched season 4 this weekend. It was not as devastating as season 3 although it did have its moments. Princess Carolyn's episode was brutal. Same with all the flashbacks to BoJack's family. I liked everything with Hollyhock and Bojack's mom. I liked that BoJack is starting to be a better person but only in very little increments. I didn't really care much for Mr. Peanutbutter or Diane's storyline. It just feels like it is the same conflict over and over. Although I did like Andre Braugher as the woodchuck. And Jessica Biel continues to have a good sense of humor about herself. I'll probably watch it again but slower this time. It is so visually dense I am sure I missed a lot of the jokes.I agree about Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane, but that looks like it might finally change. Todd and BoJack had a nice moment or two, but they need to learn how to appreciate that guy. He's a dope, but he's kind-hearted and bends over backwards for all of them.
Co-signed to all of this. They kinda whiffed it with Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter for most of the season but it ended in an interesting way, I'm curious to see what their relationship will be like going forward.
Zach Braff also, contradictory to what I believed, has a sense of humor about himself. Good for him.
Everything to do with Beatrice was just so tragic that they actually made me feel bad for her. BoJack's entire family was full of broken people who didn't have the tools necessary to fix themselves, so no wonder he is the way he is. The last moment of the season made me so happy that I actually cheered.
And why hasn't this show won any Emmys? Or even been nominated for that many? Will Arnett and Amy Sedaris should have several statuettes on their mantles by now. It ain't right.
