We saw it yesterday and loved it! everybody is sooo good in it. T'Challa actually ends up one of the quieter roles, but Chadwick Boseman is awesome. I especially loved the women and how strong they all were and amazing fighters who were right up there with the men - they were all great characters. Loved the action with the scene in the casino and the car chase that followed. We saw it in the regular theater, but think we'll see it again in 3-D. I was so glad it lived up to the hype. edited to add in this video of the director breaking down the casino scene - some really interesting insights.

We loved it. It was everything I wanted it to be. And I found myself really feeling for Michael B. Jordan, which is a credit to how well he played the villain.

Saw it at the very last showing tonight! I couldn't wait another day! Excellent movie. I was nearly moved to tears multiple times. Absolutely gorgeous costumes and visual design. It was stunning just to look at. I agree that T'Challa/Chadwick was secondary in his own movie. I loved every scene with MBJ/Erik Killmonger and desperately wanted more!! I would have gladly sat through another hour of this movie. And I know Okoye/Danai is getting a lot of well deserved loved, but damn, M'Baku/Man-Ape stole the whole movie for me! Spin-off please!! Everyone was great. I would have preferred a beefed up part for Claue/Andy Serkis over Martin Freeman's/Agent Ross. He was the only bland bit, IMO. I really hope they have a part 2 in the works.

I really enjoyed it. Very strong acting distracted me from the plot hole that was pointed out to me afterward: Killmonger sure took his sweet time traveling to Wakanda and the whole Korea trip was unnecessary, given his goals.
The actors playing M'Baku and Shuri totally stole the movie. I went in expecting Michael B. Jordan to do that (and he was excellent, but a wee bit underdeveloped as happens to most Marvel villians).
Anyways, I liked it but the black men I saw it with clearly had a reaction similar to the one I had during Wonder Woman regarding representation on screen. And I LOVED the women in it.

I loved it. I watch Marvel films/shows with my partner, and they are meh to good in my opinion. BP is an excellent movie regardless of genre. I'm blown away that Ryan Coogler is 31 years old. It was beautiful, well acted, didn't feel long, and the action wasn't centered on guns.
We pre-booked tickets for a Saturday matinee in Nashville that eventually sold out, and I felt the magnitude of the film's representation in our screening.

I thought they went to Korea to stop Gollum (Claw?) from selling the axe he and Killmonger had swiped from the museum. And I was going to say that they were selling it to get transportation to Wakanda... but then Killmonger seemed to have transportation all ready after he rescued Gollum and killed him right after.
So hmmmm.... Ummmmm... ok, maybe Killmonger needed to kill some more people to round out his scar collection. Like, he couldn't go to Wakanda and properly whip off his shirt to show his scars until he got a couple more on his lower back to make everything even. Yeah! That's it!!

The part that took me out of the movie was when Martin Freeman starts talking into his sleeve in the middle of a crowded room full of bad guys. Because that's not obvious at all. And really in this day and age with all the tech in this movie, CIA are conversing with each other on their Apple watches?

I could not understand the Korean lady at all. I had a better time understanding Lupita's Korean.

babycakes, come to, of all places, Los Angeles, where I saw a 3D matinee with just 5 other people.
I enjoyed it, and the production design and costumes are fantastic. The Casino fight scene was awesome. But it wasn't Captain America 1 and 2 level for me.
