Is anyone watching this dark comedy by Bill Hader of Saturday Night Live fame? Over all I think it is very well done. I wish it had more episodes - I just got through the first season which consisted of eight episodes. It can be wickedly funny but then at the same time be sort of dark and treacherous.

Is anyone watching this dark comedy by Bill Hader of Saturday Night Live fame? I am! I have thoroughly enjoyed it (although I had to record the last episode because life...)--it's very well done, and the acting is superb. And I love the dialogue--some of the best writing I've seen this year. I must admit, though--I've had to go back through more than a few scenes to figure out who's who. With so many different mobs represented, and so much going on in my household at any given time, it gets a little confusing... Those Chechen mobsters are hilarious!

It's been over a year, so...
I binged Season 2 this weekend, and I'm almost overwhelmed by the plot twists and turns in this show. Honestly, I've never seen a show quite like this--it's reminiscent of The Sopranos, but ten times funnier and a little harder to follow, due to the multiple mobs who team up, only to turn on each other.
If for no other reason, check it out for the performances. Bill Hader and Stephen Root are just awesome, and everyone's characterizations are really well done.

Noho Hank is one of my fave characters on TV right now.
The ep with the martial artist dad and daughter is one of the funniest things I have seen on TV in awhile.

I have this on my "up next" list to binge--I've just had trouble watching anything lately. Thank you for the nudge!

Double posting because it's been a week. I watched Season 1 and enjoyed it but I'm a little leery of Season 2 because by the last episode I really didn't like Barry. It gutted me that {Spoiler}he killed his Marine buddy with the family and then I REALLY was gutted that he killed detective Janice. I really liked that character. I thought I'd ask for feedback to decide if I should go on. I have such little time to watch tv that it's hard for me to watch something I'm hesitant about.

You should definitely watch season 2. It did a great job adding complexity to some of the other characters and there is one bananas episode that cannot be missed. I did miss Goran in season 2 though.

I swear ronny/lily is the best half hour of television produced this year. It was balls-out crazy and intense and I loved every second of it. The season finale was also amazing, Sarah Goldberg was awesome and totally earned her Emmy nomination. Bill Hader has admitted to somewhat ripping off Breaking Bad thematically, especially this season, so if that’s not your thing you should skip it. If that level of intensity doesn’t bother you then you should definitely watch it. Personally for me there’s enough humor in it still that I can handle it. Basically every scene with Noho Hank is funny. He’s walking comic relief.

I just finished ronny/lilly and, yes, that was totally bonkers. I had to pause it a couple of times to just laugh and absorb it.

We just binged all 3 seasons of Barry and I want more! Anthony Carrigan is delightful and I could watch Noho Hank allll day long. Love Henry Winkler and his scenes wooing Detective Janice Moss were equally delightful.
