My 19yr old son, my fiance, and I went to see this on Saturday. We didn't think it was "the scariest movie evah" but it had some interesting and effective moments. Seemed almost, though, like 2 (or even 3) different movies...some "hmmmm" choices. But man, gorgeous gorgeous filming and excellent acting.
Anyone see this yet?

I thought it was a great movie, but definitely not for everyone. There's an unrelenting emotional intensity to some scenes that might be triggering for some viewers. I usually drag my husband to horror movies with me, but based on what I'd heard, I opted to go alone. I think some folks expecting a traditional horror flick might be disappointed by the movie's structure; I described it to a friend as going up a rollercoaster for the first 90 or so minutes, and then finally riding that drop for the last 30. I was actually relieved when the catharsis finally came. It didn't especially scare me, but certain images are definitely staying with me. It's a haunting piece of film-making.

Oh definitely re: haunting
Lovely shots and esp liked the transitions. We loved the family intensity as well
