Oh my gosh! My first apartment post-college was in Seal Beach and I used to go to that donut shop all the time! I'd walk there in the evening just before closing to buy donuts for my boyfriend and myself and the owner would always put a couple extra in the bag. He is super-nice, no wonder his customers are supporting him.

Adorable dog Murray lands on his paws after a rocky start in life bless him he is a bit challenged in the looks dept,but I think it makes him more precious. Love people who rescue those who could get overlooked.
Cmon he made me link to The Fail(who can't even have a kinder headline about a dog!) so he must be adorable.

I have to be that person--I just this article about the video, and it's a bit dark. The Problem Behind a Viral Video of a Persistent Baby Bear. The short version is that a drone scared the bears.

I wish I had some humanity-affirming news right now, but I don't. As soon as I do, I'll post back.

I loved this story of a bookstore that moved their books using a human chain. This story about Betty Soskin, a 97 year old park ranger who is one of Glamour's Women of the Year, was also awesome.
