Saw this on twitter then lost track of it, this family's elderly neighbour passed away recently his daughter dropped a bagful of Christmas gifts for their toddler daughter one gift for the next 14 christmases
It is just the loveliest little story it even got me in my bahhumbuggy feels💜

I think this counts, by most measures: Cyntoia Brown granted clemency. I think she is owed so much, and I hope she has good people close to her so she can build the life she wants.

Thank god! But that she has to wait another 7 months is bullshit.

I agree, and I wonder what sort of support she has post-release. The seven months to get things sorted out could be a benefit in the long run, although it’s also true that in the cosmic sense, it is crap.

She has one class left before she earns her B.A. The program is through the Dept of Corrections. Maybe she needs to finish that program before she is released?

I don’t know if that’s true. Just speculating.
