I remember going to see a comedian at a casino. When the show was over, they funnelled us all down one staircase to exit via the casino. Suddenly, the crush got too much and I thought I was going to pass out for a minute. Nowhere near that experience, but I always remember it. And avoid any crowd like that ever since.

So, I'm not surprised that kids wanted to go to this event or that their parents took them. We don't know if these folks knew about the past incidents at his concerts. They just hear their kids asking them to take them to see the guy from Fortnite. Parents taking their child to see their favorite artist should never entail fear of violence, injury, or death.

Yes to all of this. He had his first big Fortnite event in spring 2020, and my then 10-year-old and his friends were all over it.

I guess I just really want to know what Travis Scott actually knew was happening when he was performing. i’ve been to outdoor concerts but none of these all day festivals with 30,000+ people. It’s my understanding from folks with attend these type of shows that ambulances are fairly common. People will pass out from exhaustion, dehydration, the heat etc. I have read many accounts from people who said they were yelling for him to stop. But then I’ve heard from other groups of people who were in other parts of the crowd who had no idea anything was happening.

Even if he didn’t stop the show, why didn’t the police or someone go on stage and tell him that he needed to pause? Even if you believe that he was continuing to perform knowing all that was going on, it doesn’t make sense why someone else with some authority didn’t pull the plug.

ETA: ladybug, I also want to say thank you for your last sentence. I have reached my limit with people commenting in a very smug and condescending way about bad parenting and taking kids to the show. Even if you (general you) think the subject matter is too adult, that’s your right. But no one expects to go to a concert and leave with bodily harm. The comments on the Washington Post story about this poor little boy dying were horrible.

At this I point, I think it’s like some sort of rite of passage to date Pete Davidson. I’m of the mind that anything the Kardashian’s do is for attention. I’m sure this is a ploy to bring some positive attention their way, especially after the Astroworld tragedy. Above all else, I’m sure Kim needed to steal some of the attention that Kourtney and Travis were getting.

That said, while Pete admittedly has is issues, I can see him having an open and funny personality which can be very appealing.

I don't think Cindy had anything to do with them breaking up--dating Pete seems to have a limited shelf-life. I would expect the same of this ~relationship with Kim.

Kim has announced she passed the Baby Bar on her fourth try. Lord have mercy, but if this moves her one step closer to making a positive difference in the field of criminal justice, good for her.
