Why would one choose their public persona to be that of an asshole and bully, though? This is what I want to know. The covert narcissists I've had the displeasure of knowing and being involved with had their enablers swearing they were great people, deep down, despite being assholes to them and everyone else. They even acknowledge these people as assholes. The asshole is the real person. Always. |

This is what I want to know. I've never understood the idea of covering up one's kindness by being a nasty jerk. What's the end game with that? |

Do you genuinely believe there's a difference between the two? Yes. I don't think the public persona we see from most celebrities is the genuine full picture of who that person is. So she is putting forth the worst version of herself on social media? |

She's not putting forth anything. She's being herself and that person is unpleasant.
AFAIK Lea Michele is still BFFs with Jonathan Groff who is notoriously pleasant and sweet so that's a total mystery.

Yes. I don't think the public persona we see from most celebrities is the genuine full picture of who that person is. So she is putting forth the worst version of herself on social media? I don't think she's choosing it as best or worst. I think it's simply one facet of who she is - we're all complex people. Has there ever been a time in your life that you were talking about a someone with a different person and the two of you don't share the same impression? You each know different aspects of the same person, and form different impressions. I've worked with people who scared me to death - until I saw them in a social situation and discovered they were much more laid back and relaxed in such an environment. I've known people who were loving and kind - until you get them in front of a airline ticketing counter being told their flight is cancelled and suddenly I'm seeing a crazy person. People are complex. John has the ability to see more sides to Chrissy than I do. |

Chrissy Had a Star-Studded Squid Game-Themed Party for her rich friends. I want to go to Chrissy's Parasite-themed campout. Guests are locked in the basement for the weekend and sneak out to eat from her fridge at night. Spoilered in case you haven't seen Parasite. Weird how in their masks, Chrissy and John still looked exactly like themselves. On a side note, I want to have a party. Not a sit down and eat with a napkin party, a dance your butt off, play musical chairs, un-birthday party. Even the costume parties I’ve attended are sit down and eat with a napkin parties. I gave great kids parties! I think this is just one of those! Cake and ice cream cones. Hot dogs, chips and dips. Twizzlers, frosted animal cookies and Cheetos. Karaoke, but not the fancy ones, just singing to a record holding a hairbrush. Pin the tail on the donkey. Musical chairs. Dancing! |
