So I've been watching all the Wimseys on YouTube for the millionth time (and oh how Ian Carmichael has grown on me) and wishing for an update like "Sherlock"/"Elementary" and wondering what that would look like. My vote would be for period but with a "Miss Fisher"/"Bridgerton" vibe and a very dishy Bunter. Any other Golden Era Brit mystery fans here who'd care to speculate? Casting? Bunter/Wimsey/Vane?

Oh, I loved the Wimsey mysteries, espcially the ones with Harriet Vane! It took me awhile (maybe half an episode, LOL) to warm up to Ian Carmichael's version as Edward Petherbridge had exactly the right look, IMO.
A modern re-telling would be great but I'd love for a remake of the originals. They still haven't done Busman's Honeymoon, meanwhile they're on the 17,000th remake of Miss Marple.
