Oh no! I hope he's ok! I first became aware of Bob when he and Dave Cross did Mr. Show back in the late 90s. It has been really nice to watch his career evolve from sort-of stoner comedian into a respected actor. He has been so good in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. I really do hope he's ok.

For me it was when he showed up on NewsRadio as a member of Chock, Dave’s a capella group from college. (Technically, Chock Full of Notes, but they kept calling it just “Chock,” which was a million times funnier.)

Noooooooo! I hope he pulls through whatever the issue is. He's been so great as Saul/Jimmy, and so underrated. He should have several Emmys by now.

For me it was when he showed up on NewsRadio as a member of Chock, Dave’s a capella group from college. (Technically, Chock Full of Notes, but they kept calling it just “Chock,” which was a million times funnier.) A brilliant guest turn on a super underrated show. His SNL writing with Conan and the others is legendary. I know Mr. Show is revered (though I’m not familiar). And of course, his iconic turn as Saul Goodman on two separate series. He’s such a relatively-under-the-media-radar personality that you can forget how tremendously impactful he has been on American comedy, and more recently, pop culture generally. Last night when I read this news, I just thought, oh dear, hope he’s okay, but I was quite surprised and worried when I went to check this morning and there was no update. You just start thinking the worst things from stroke or heart attack to one of those weird stage IV cancer diagnoses. Ugh, I really hope he’s okay. He’s so young, too, only 58. |

There is a tweet out that he is awake and okay, and that it was something cardiac related. It's good news!

His son tweeted that he’s going to be okay, and his publicist gave a statement to the Hollywood Reporter confirming that he’s stable and it was a cardiac event.

When no one had heard any news for hours I was really worried that the situation was dire. I'm glad he's stable and I hope he has a good/speedy recovery. |
