Police Woman was a little before my TV watching, but per some places, all 4 major actors from the show were still alive until Charles Dierkop's passing yesterday. It was the oldest TV show with all major cast members alive until then, which is very impressive, since the last episode was in 1978. Eleven year old me would have been watching The Love Boat and Charlie's Angels by then.

Oh, that's sad. I watched "Anything But Love" back in the day and always enjoyed Lewis' turns on it.

Agreed,I remember quite enjoying that show. Also, Curb of course. I knew he and Larry David were close but I didn’t know about them being born at the same hospital at almost the same time.

Iris was an icon and a treasure. Lenny Kravitz wrote on her IG that she had mastered the art of living, which is such a wonderful way to describe her.
She and Bill Cunningham are now together again. Rest in style, Iris.

It seems Raspberries lead singer Eric Carmen has died. No details yet. I had a small scale relationship with Eric, and liked him a lot. When I was in college, my band was recording at Beachwood Studios in Cleveland. One Friday night, we arrived for our 7PM session, and the engineer asked if we minded waiting, as the client ahead of us was trying to finish something up. We said, no problem, we were just mixing, so there was no gear to bring in. About an hour later, the control room door slams open and the client himself came out to apologize, and tell us how embarrassed he was to run over into our time like that. We laughed and asked if it was the LA2 acting up again (a vintage and expensive tube powered compressor), he grinned and said, “Yeah. Piece of shit…” He left shortly thereafter. He was of course, Eric Carmen, and the project he was trying to finish was the vocals on Hungry Eyes. About 10 years later, I had my own studio, and a client needed their analog 2” tape transferred to ADAT digital tape to work in my studio. I knew Beachwood had the analog machine I needed, so I called to book a session to drag my machines up and dump the tape. They told me I would have to wait until midnight to start, as Eric Carmen had the studio block booked that month. I said perfect, and booked the date. On the night of my tape dump, I arrived at the studio a few minutes before midnight. The engineer met me at the door and asked if I minded waiting a few minutes while Eric finished up. I said, “You tell Carmen I am sick and tired of him running over my session times!” The engineer looked stricken, and I busted out laughing, and quickly told him the Hungry Eyes story. He laughed and said “wait here, I’m gonna tell Eric you’re pissed!” About 90 seconds later, Eric appears in the lobby, and says “Gawdammit, man! I remember that, and again I am so sorry! I am not doing anything. We got sucked into watching the Indians in the playoffs, and haven’t done shit tonight. Come on in and watch the end of the game with us while you set up your stuff.” A genuinely cool, down to earth guy. I’m gonna play Go All the Way as my walk out music tomorrow. RIP, Eric.
