I’m stunned that Camilla and Brigitte Macron’s dresses are the exact same colour (at least from the photos I’ve seen). Cooperation, indeed.

I think Camilla looks gorgeous for the State Dinner in France. That blue caped Dior dress is lovely! This and her 2005 wedding dress are my favorite Camilla looks of all time.

Yes, when you have jewels like that your dress can't compete! I suspect she's had some very subtle cosmetic work done. The area under her chin is surprisingly firm for a woman of 76. According to Christopher Anderson (I read his book The King last weekend), when the BRF was embarking on trying to "rehabilitate" Camilla's image to change public opinion and increase her favorability--prior to them getting married--she had a big makeover which included hair styling/color, wardrobe, teeth capped, and also plastic surgery (I'm sure anything done was mild and very subtle).

Yes, before that Camilla was very much your Sloane Ranger grandma in tweed skirts and twin sets, and not at all the dressy sort.

Yes, before that Camilla was very much your Sloane Ranger grandma in tweed skirts and twin sets, and not at all the dressy sort. He actually described her as wearing ratty old threadbare clothing and tying her hair away from her face with ancient scarves that reeked of cigarette smoke, stained teeth, and bitten down fingernails...which painted quite a visual for me, at least....lol.

Camilla’s children & grandchildren will be attending Christmas lunch at Sandringham this year for the first time. I’m also assuming they may join the Royals in going to church that day?
I think merging blended families is par for the course for many these days but it’s especially nice to see Camilla’s extended family being included in family gatherings, as they were in the Coronation.
Sussex sources were recently whinging to The Telegraph that they haven’t received an invite to the Royal Christmas this year and they are apparently keen now to be invited……
Including Camilla’s family in family gatherings is certainly going to irk Harry but hey this is the result of his own behaviour - you throw multiple fits and the world moves on without you!

The end of the matter is that Camilla is Queen and it’s a non-story to have her own kids and grandkids with her at Christmas.
I’m sure the Sussexes really want a Sandringham invite. Sure.

I warmed to Camilla a long time ago, and after so many years of having to play the game, sideline herself, etc. I think it's nice that she's finally in a position to call more of the shots in her own life. I'm sure she has found time to spend part of the holiday season with her own kids and grandkids in past years, but it must be so nice to no longer have to do it on the down low/find space to squeeze them in. It's Charles and Camilla's monarchy now and of course the guest list will change accordingly.
The Sussexes sure do like to trumpet to the press whenever they don't get an invite to something. I'm sure they would say that they are merely responding to erroneous reports, but a bigger person would just let stuff go. They apparently will never be able to let stuff go. At the same time, after what Harry said about Camilla in his memoir, continuing the villain narrative, it just wouldn't make much sense that he would want to go to her Christmas party and not only have to look her in the eye but all of her family members too. It has to have been hard for Camilla's children over the years to hold their peace as their mother got raked over the coals time and time again, and to have Harry continue to stoke the flames right as Charles took over the top job had to be nerve wracking for everybody.

They want a Sandringham invite so they can then turn it down for whatever reason they’ll require at the moment. And then whine/leak to the press.

You can’t win with the Sussexes. They’d be complaining about being invited or not being invited. And if they went, they’d use the visit for content for their victimhood. “Camilla’s son got more sausages than me.” “Charlotte made me cry.”
So I’d just carry on and keep ignoring them.
Camilla did get a great makeover. She looks really good at the state banquet and earlier reception. And her gift to the South Korean First Lady was a pashmina with her dogs’ names embroidered. 🥰
