They need rehab.
I’m legitimately worried that at some point, they are going to have one of these violent outbursts towards a woman where there are not other people around to intercede, and they end up killing themselves or someone else (I’m not trying to be hyperbolic in writing that).
I mentioned Grace Randolph in my post above: she subsequently posted a whole (sometimes cryptic) video about the situation. Her “behind the scenes” tea is usually most accurate about Warner Brothers, so I assume she has a source at the studio who told her this stuff. She said that Ezra suffered a deep tragedy a few months ago, but she couldn’t share what happened. Afterwards, Ezra took off with some friends for Hawaii, and they were drifting around there, but as Ezra’s mental health has deteriorated, those friends (who were loosely looking out for Ezra) left them after not being able to take their behavior any longer, and now Ezra’s on their own, wandering around Hawaii.
If what Grace says is accurate, I don’t know what tragedy would be literally unspeakable. I think at one point, Grace mentioned it was the worst kind of tragedy you could imagine. If Ezra lost a close family member or friend, presumably there would be an obituary and public record that could be reported on and wouldn’t be “the worst you could imagine.” Two thoughts that came to mind were that Ezra could have lost a baby (I don’t know if Ezra has been romantically linked with anyone, but that is what comes to my mind when people talk about “the worst”) or someone close to them died by suicide. Who knows.
People challenged Grace on her angle that people need to show compassion for Ezra at this time, saying that there was the “choking” incident in Iceland (where Ezra choked out a bar patron) well before the supposed tragedy this year. She said that Ezra has had mental health issues for years, but it is just dire right now. I kind of view Ezra as a more extreme version of Kanye: reprehensible behavior that is also scary/ unsettling and you don’t know what percentage is them not being a very good person and what percentage is attributable to severe mental health issues, but you just hope they get help before there is irreversible tragedy.
I just can’t imagine what Warner Brothers can do with this “Flash” movie starring Ezra that they already have in the can, and that they’ve already pushed out to next year. It’s got characters in it (including Michael Keaton’’s Batman) that they had planned to (re)introduce in this film so that they could use them for future DC comics projects without Batfleck or Henry Cavil’s Superman. That’s a lot of money riding on one movie.
