It must suck being famous, blind, and having handlers to dress you. "No, really, Mr. Wonder! You are wearing a Halston suit and that tugging you feel on your head is just a tasteful hat. You don't look like a Zulu refugee at all!" Hee! Damn! Reminds me of some comedy sketch were the comic said if she was married to Stevie he would have but one set of clothes and she would Fabreeze it off every morning. Apparently blind men are very good lovers because their sense of touch is more acute? ?? I read this in an already outdated journal when I was 10 so don't believe it. I do remember though when I started college there was a fire notice in my dorm's kitchen that read "blah, blah, blah, in the event you are blind" Yeah unless it's in brail if you are blind you can't see the damn notice let alone read it. College authorities are very stupid much!

[totally OT] The most egregious use of braille has to be in the drive thru window at my local bank [/totally OT].
What has he been doing lately? Did anyone tell him that disco was dead? I assume he heard that. Fashion sense, apparently and to his detriment, he must rely on from sighted sources.

That "baby girl", named Aisha, is now a grown woman who was on GMA this morning singing with him. She didn't have a great voice, but she is indeed a lovely woman. Very tall and smiley. Ypu're kidding me! My mom used to sing that song to me all the time when I was little..............oh, right so it does actually add up. And yep, Hotter Than July is the CD. It is Jamming!

I think he has a voice that's pretty damn close to perfect. 'Lately' can bring tears to my eyes.

...question for his handlers...How far back does his hairline need to recede before somebody decides it's time to nix the braids/cornrows They are obviously way too heavy for his aging head and thinning hair...sooo...perhaps Stevie should get a weavie. One of the main reasons I'm looking at the NFL Championship game next weekend is to see him perform (pre-game show)...and I'll be checking out his hairdo and progression of his hairline, which I know will distract me . Hopefully, Malcolm Jamaal Warner (who suffers from the same condition) reads this thread . . . .. ;D

Seeing his name on the first page, I thought he was dead!! Thank goodness he isn't. As for the receeding hairline, maybe his eventual aim is to have an all-natural Prince's Lock. That would be kind of cool! ;o)

I hope Susan Taylor, editor of Essence magazine, reads this too.

But y'all leave him alone; he's Stevie Wonder. And that's good enough for me, dammit. They could release a video with him pissing on kids and I'd be the first one to say, "He didn't KNOW they were 12! He couldn't see them kids! C'mon, he made 'Talking Book'! FREE STEVIE!"

Christ, I love Stevie Wonder, too. But the braids? Have to go. If my hairline looked like that you'd best believe I would go bald with dignity.
