He's on Good Morning America today. Loooove him. His album, Songs in the Key of Life, is a definite desert island disc. Discuss.

I thought he was until he started making excuses for and defending Michael Jackson.
Well Stevie was and still is a musical genuis. I love his music and have a lot of his albums. Though not the "I Just Called To Say I Love You" spell he went through...god that stuff was bad! He must have had some bills to pay or something.

Whew... I thought this was going to be a death notice.
"Superstition" never fails to put a smile on my face. Awesome, awesome song.

My favorite song if I was pushed to pick just one is "Overjoyed".
"Isn't She Lovely" is just so cute because I heard he wrote that song for his baby girl when she was born and that just so awww! It is just the kind of thing a new parent would sing about their baby.

That "baby girl", named Aisha, is now a grown woman who was on GMA this morning singing with him. She didn't have a great voice, but she is indeed a lovely woman. Very tall and smiley.
His album, "Hotter than July" is fantastic.

Hopefully she prevents him from being dressed in daishikis and sporting cornrows?

Hee. Unfortunately no. He was on GMA in all his cornrowed glory, receding hairline and all.

It must suck being famous, blind, and having handlers to dress you. "No, really, Mr. Wonder! You are wearing a Halston suit and that tugging you feel on your head is just a tasteful hat. You don't look like a Zulu refugee at all!"

I thought he was until he started making excuses for and defending Michael Jackson. Well, he is blind...

Y'all need to put your manners back in and not criticize Stevie about nuthin' -- he's a musical genius. Back in the day when I used to hang out at clubs, Stevie stopped by one night. Later, the club owner was regaling us with stories about it and when one of the guys asked who he was with, the club owner said, "He was by himself." The guy said, "Well, Jay, he couldn't have been by himself; he's totally blind." Eh heh heh heh heh... Er... not funny, eh? Okay, but that still elicits a chuckle from me every now and then. By the by, his brother dresses/dressed him, and he can't get rid of the cornrows now because he's got that receding hairline thing going. But y'all leave him alone; he's Stevie Wonder.
