On a side note, did anybody else's BS Meter go off when the the sperm blurb claimed he was 5'11"? I saw the still pics from Brown Bunny and my BS meter went off at the claim of 8 inches.

Let me see if I've got this right: 50% and 100% white/light-skinned women are okay (Derek Jeter's mother is Irish, Halle Berry's mother is Polish, Lenny Kravitz's father is Jewish, and Lena Horne is mixed). He says he's 8 inches, but according to the experts, most men measure the wrong way and end up giving themselves an extra inch or two. No cripples, deformities, or diseases that he'll admit to, and let's be honest, everyone has that one relative/branch of the family no one admits to. And even if you did go through with it, you run the risk of ending up with a bizarre looking, pretentious, snotty and flat out strange child.

I threw up a little when I read this story. He's gross and delusional. Why the hell would anyone pay to have his child?

Eeeeeeewwwwwwwwww! Are you guys sure he actually wrote that? It must be some sort of joke that someone else wrote about him, no? Considering that his own web page is linked to the merchandising page, I think he probably did. Frankly, it sounds like him. And EEEEEEEEWWWW! really does sum it up, doesn't it?

After Ebert reviewed Gallo's film, Gallo did say some nasty personal things about Ebert. Ebert responded thusly: "It is true that I am fat, but one day I will be thin, and he will still be the director of The Brown Bunny." Hee!
I really don't think that it was Gallo in the famous scene. I do think he used a stunt....um...member? If you watch the camera cuts, you see Chloe doing her thing, then the camera cuts to Gallo's face. You never see that the member is attached to the body that has Gallo's face (if that makes any sense). In any event, he's still a major waste of space.

How is anyone going to take Chloe Sevigny seriously as an actress after that?

I was a little confused when I was reading his ad and I thought he was going to pay someone to get pregnant by him. All I could think is, "not even for a million".

How is anyone going to take Chloe Sevigny seriously as an actress after that? Exactly. What has she been in since? Before it, she was held up as some sort of budding fashion icon, Hollywood's "It Girl" of the moment. After this film, she seemed to have dropped off the planet. How can anyone take seriously an actress who voluntarily agreed to blow Vincent Gallo?

Ebert also changed his tune when Gallo did some drastic editing. He ended up recommending the film (gave it three stars in his print review) and talking about how editing can change a movie for the better. I loved Ebert for taking Gallo's stupid insults with grace and humor but I also loved him for being able to view the changes in the movie with a critic's eye.
Moving on... this stuff about the sperm is just awful. I just hope no one buys it. As long as it remains unsold, Vincent just looks like a tool and the controversy is of the low key variety. If some poor crazy buys it, then there is interest and controversy. It wouldn't suprise me if Vincent had a buyer lined up just to make sure this stunt isn't swept under the rug due to lack of buyers.
