Who's raising her anyway? I've heard reports of Courtney's stepfather and sister looking after her.

I wonder what her financial situation is. I'm sure Kurt left her a truckload of money, but the way she goes through drugs must really be taking it's toll on her finances. Also, her solo album bombed pretty hard, IRC. I guess she could make money as an actress, but I don't think anybody would be hot on hiring her these days. I did see her in a movie with Charlize Theron (I forgot the title; it was very generic) and she was pretty good-she's no Madonna, that's for sure. She could probably get decent roles if she'd clean up.

I'm disgusted by her father saying Courtney was "hard to love." WTF kind of parent is that? Even if she WAS born with a personality disorder, does that mean that her parents are off the hook from parenting her? That it was A-OK for them to shuffle her off to reform schools and wipe their hands clean of her? They treated her like she was a child serial killer. Geez.
No wonder she's such a mess now. I'm not surprised in the least that she would callously and cruelly leave her animal at the vet after it had a stroke. It was a learned behavior, wasn't it? She was deficient/damaged too, so her parents pretty much wiped their hands clean of her.

By the way, I'm not EXCUSING what she did to her poor dog. I hope he gets a loving, responsible home soon. I don't think someone as f'd up as Courtney has any business being responsible for an animal. Let alone a child. Poor Frances Bean.

I read her mom's memoir, and according to her mother's account, Hank Harrison, C-Lo's dad, had little to do with her upbringing. Eventually, her mom had to go to court, and the result was that Hank's visits with C-Lo had to be supervised.

Courtney's mom is pretty flaky, but the worst you could say is that she was overwhelmed by a daughter with some serious mental problems, and she didn't handle everything as well as she could've. And yes, her mom took her to shrinks, private schools, therapists, you name it, to help her daughter. At the same time, she was also raising about four or five other children, and she lost a baby. So she had a lot on her plate.

Her mom today admits she could've done a better job with Courtney, but it's clear that not all of Courtney's behavior can be explained away by upbringing. As someone said upthread, there are kids with problems that all the love in the world can't fix. Courtney was one of those kids.

Francis Bean is looking a lot like Courtney did as a teen.

I *always* thought she'd turn out looking more like Kurt, but alas...

Wonder what CLove is up to...gosh, last I heard she was supposed to be getting some money for selling Nirvana rights. Then I heard she was in a grocery store crying poor. Lastly, I heard she was writing a book (which if I remember correctly, was mostly her journal musings, ect).

She is my ultimate favorite trainwreck celebrity-yes, even more than Britney or CTC. Although CTC is moving up in my personal 'WTF *now*?' stakes.

I hope all of you can give your thoughts on who you think Francis favors now, looks-wise.

Nothing really new to add about Courtney --- but MTV2's "24 hours of Love" from a few years ago = awesome TV.

I don't think there's any one else I'd want to watch control a TV channel for 24 hours other than CLove.

I heard Billy Corgan is supposed to be helping her write her new album. There were pictures of them out together, but they just might have been reminiscing back to the days when they were famous and relevant.
