She's never had much of a voice to begin with. The only song I like of Hole's is "Doll Parts."
You've got to be shitting me -- Gavin and Trent? Talk about slumming it.
She cleaned up pretty good when she went to the Oscars for The People vs. Larry Flynt (Or was it the Globes?). She was all dressed like a '30s starlet and she looked absolutely stunning. But of course, she couldn't stay clean for long.
Bitch is WACK. I saw footage of her at the roast of Pam Anderson, where she insisted she was sober and the host (was it Jimmy Kimmel?) said, "I hope for your sake you ARE high, because if you're not, you've got problems." She was absolutely stoned out of her fucking goard.
Poor Frances.

Next, she'll tell us about that time she slept with Trent Reznor. Did she really? Damn, lucky bitch got all the hot 90s men! She's always claimed she slept with him during the Hole/NIN tour in '94 and I'm pretty sure Trent has always denied it, so who knows.

The only way you could say she "slept with" Trent is if they were on the same tour bus and both fell asleep. Then I guess you could say they "slept together." Maybe Courtney figured she could take that and run with it -- she's pretty fucking desparate.

She's on Letterman right now. She looks good, very well put together and is coherent. Wonder how long it will last?

Interesting how she can pull herself together for the sake of her career and not for the sake of her daughter. The last few years when Frances was a teenager and needed her the most Courtney had been especially fucked up and disgusting.

Yeah, I remember her talking about that before. I'm not sure if it it was in the press or in her old hole.com ramblings. Oh good old hole.com. I haven't thought of that place in years. She was very charming and coherent on Letterman last night. I found myself kind of being sucked in by her again, then I remembered the situation with Frances and came to my senses. I still enjoy Nobody's Daughter, though.

She did well in the interview, but I thought she looked like a kid playing Guitar Hero during the performance. If there was any doubt about her being clean, her stiff and nervous performance made it clear that she really is drug free. Courtney needs to find some of her old swagger if she expects to sell tickets to her shows.

I ranted about this in another thread, but I finally gave Live Through This another chance. I'd listened to this thing in the 1990s a couple of times and went "meh." This time around? I thought: "Three or four songs rock out; the rest is meh." One of the best songs is "Credit in the Straight World," which Courtney didn't even write. "She Walks on Me" and "Plump" are good songs. But is this a great album? A classic album to go back to again and again? No. Most of the songs sound like a harder Gin Blossoms. Courtney's drummer is good. I will give her that. Otherwise, this is an okay-but-not-great band that made an okay-but-not-great record.
IIRC, the 1990s were a great decade for music. There were plenty of better bands. (I saw them live, so I should know.)

Well, as I said, I gave it another chance. IIRC, the 1990s were a great decade for music. There were plenty of better bands. (I saw them live, so I should know.) I think it's a good album, but Bis was by far the best female-fronted band of the nineties.

Would she ever have gotten noticed if she hadn't married Kurt? Girlfriend can't even sing -- she's terrible.
