I am also curious what money she is living off of. As for the fire, if you've ever read any biographies on her, she has a history of setting fire to places (deliberately or accidentally). I reckon she nods off a lot with a lit cigarette due to whatever substance she's on at the time.

She probably lives off Kurt's Nirvana royalties.

Yep. A few years ago she sold 25% of her share of Nirvana's publishing rights for $50 million dollars. She was once offered $162 million for the whole thing. They are certainly worth much more now. Then there's her share of Nirvana LLC . She's got access to tons of money.

What did she get and what did Frances get? I thought she was stealing from her trustfund?

This was posted awhile back and gives a good summation of the situation: I was curious too, so I looked around and there's no definitive answer. But I did find a lot of bits and pieces of info, so I'm pretty sure on what I've written below, but it's still just an educated guess... Courtney and Frances are the principal beneficiaries of Kurt's estate, according to a MTV article from 2001. Courtney manages Frances’ share until she turns 18. When Frances turns 18, their share of Kurt's estate is half. Kurt's share, and therefore Courtney and Frances' share, of Nirvana is one third. According to MTV, in 1997 Courtney, Dave Grohl, and Krist Novoselic formed the business partnership Nirvana LLC that controls band assets like unreleased music and images and requires a unanimous vote on major decisions. Courtney's been trying for years to dismantle this partnership (claiming Nirvana was more of a solo act!) but as far as I can tell it's still in place. So, from what I can tell, being the principal beneficiaries of Kurt's estate Courtney and Frances' take of Nirvana's catalogue and whatever else is 33% (1/3 of Nirvana LLC). When Frances is 18, they will split that share and will each have 16.5% (which will probably piss Courtney off royally since she'll have even less clout in suing Krist and Dave for every decision they want to make with their music.) Another, altogether different, money issue is the trust fund Kurt left Frances worth $1.2 million. A while ago Courtney was frozen out of accessing that account because money was going missing so who knows how much is left from that trust. The publishing rights are separate from Nirvana LLC. Kurt's share is 98%, which Courtney had full control of (at least before Frances turned 18) and she sold 25% of it. I don't know what the situation is now that Frances is 18.

She is stunning. Too bad about the smoking and multiple tattoos.

She is stunning. Too bad about the smoking and multiple tattoos. Did she pick that up from her mom? ETA: I figured that tats are par for the course; I meant the smoking. Bad habit for someone who is barely legal to have.

She is beautiful, but tattoos are so commonplace these days that I can't really pin this on Courtney.

She just has so many tattoos already and she's so young. Slow down.
