You may not know the name, but you definitely know the face (he's been in practically everything) - Vincent Schiavelli has passed away due to lung cancer. He was only 57. He was definitely a "Hey! It's that guy!" and I didn't know much about him, but I think I will miss him in a strange way knowing that he will never pop up in a movie or tv show again. |

Damn.
He was excellent as one of the most underrated James Bond henchmen in Tommorow Never Dies. I always hear "Stay off my train!" whenever I see him in a movie.

He was divorced from Allyce Beasley-Ms. DiPesto on Moonlighting. He also suffered from Marfans disease.

He had a son with Allyce Beasley, who would be about 18-20 years old now. I'm curious to see what the kid looks like, because that's a unique genetic mash-up there.
I remember Vincent played one of the Johns in Bukaroo Banzai. That movie is a treasure trove of character actors. Between Vincent, John Lithgow and Christopher Lloyd ( BigBootee! ) who needed the heroic types ? They could have carried the film all by themselves.

Ack! I just posted him in the death thread. I remember him from Ghost and an X-Files episode. He had "little" brother growing out of his stomach. Quiet the character actor.

Aw, crap. Poor Vincent. My sister and I were just talking about him yesterday when we watched one of the Batman movies.
It'll be eerie watching 'Ghost' again from now on.

Aw, damn. He was a very good actor. He was also a good writer and cook. My mother's family is also from Sicily so I'm always on the lookout for Sicilian things. He had at least one cookbooks/memoirs and also wrote articles. There was one in Gourmet a few years ago where he took his (and Alyce Beaseley's) son to Sicily and it was so sweet and well done. I saved it with my recipes.
