I am sure this thread will die a quick death, but I just had to start it. I saw that he has a new series called Crumbs airing on ABC. It actually started on Thursday, so I already missed the first ep! But it does sound interesting. Did anyone catch it? I have always like Fred Savage since he was the little cutie in The Princess Bride. I am probably one on the only people who remembers his last series, Working, let alone watched it. He's just one of these actors who always seems to elicit good will from me. He's the anti-Paltrow. I can't believe Kevin Arnold is 29.

Saw the show and actually enjoyed it. It had some serious moments that seemed out of place but were strangely refreshing when compared to other network fare. They also treated "the gay thing" with unusual class.
I don't get it when people claim that he grew up to be weird looking. I think he's aged really nicely and looks about as good as a former child star can. He's easily a 0.95 on the Scale of Joaquin.
Plus he looked surprisingly good in just his underwear in The Rules of Attraction.

Nope. You're not. I actually liked that show. I thought it opened the door nicely for other movies and TV shows of the "working in an office sucks ass" genre. I especially liked that the show focused on the idealistic fresh out of college kid who slowly gets beat down by the system.
I especially remember one very funny ep where everyone finds out the receptionist is a genius who went to an Ivy League school so they kept trying to figure out what she's a receptionist. When she finally told them that she gets to leave at 5 on the dot, never works overtime or on weekends and still gets full benefits, they were all jealous of her.
Anyway, I digress. I like the fact that he's been acting since he was a kid but can be put onto the very very short list of "Former child actors who are not complete tools or addicts"

I loved that the theme song to Working was Devo singing "Working in a Coal Mine". Genius!

He's a friend of a friend and apparently a really great guy.

I had such a crush on him when Working was airing. I haven't seen the new show, but if he is half as good looking as then, then I think he's held up quite well.

Fred Savage's b-day is July 9. I do not know why I remember that, but he is two months older than me and will forever be my TV boyfriend, even more than Brandon Walsh and Dylan McKay of yore. I wish him the best....except with his wife. Because he's MINE.
Ha ha.
