That's no way to prepare for a live telecast. The stars inside get to drink Champagne during the show; the pseudo-journalists are working. Joan Rivers was bad enough with whatever she tossed back before she covered the red carpet for E!. Yeah, E! is going to get a WTF? email re Isaac from me as well. I realize that it's red carpet coverage, and that a lot of viewers are interested in what/who the stars are wearing (as opposed to asking the stars about their next projects, working with XYZ actor/director). But Isaac crossed the line from fun loopy guy to just plain offensive. I can totally see that come March 5, a lot of stars will instruct their publicists to steer them past the E! station at the Oscars red carpet. Is that what E! bigwigs want? I doubt it. I really think that Isaac wants to be a Stah! himself - let's not forget that he went to the Performing Arts High School in NYC, and was in the film Fame as well.

I saw a press release from the Oscar producers saying that based on his behavior they may not give Mizrahi a red carpet pass. E! is going to have to do a lot of butt kissing on this one, or they might have to give the job to someone else.

Prediction--E! finds someone else to handle the fashion talk on the Oscar red carpet, but they let Isaac do the Fashion Police special afterwards.

I suppose since they now know what he's going to do, so a cute little jump back and a smiling, "Hey now-look with your eyes, not with your hands!" might work.
God, you know, I never thought I'd ever say this, but at least Joan Rivers didn't embarass you at the actual event-the skinned hag waited until she did her little snarkfest (and while I love the snark, she was beyond nasty). Honestly, if I'm all dressed up in high end couture and million-dollar on loan jewelry, I don't want someone pulling open my dress, and asking me about my body hair.

No matter what people think of the awards themselves (I'm an Oscars fan and even some years I think they're a joke), the occasion itself is supposed to be dignified and tasteful. Pulling Dame Judith Dench's skirt up to see if she has a Brazilian will not fly. Nor should it. I confess, I've never been a Mizrahi fan anyway, thought my friend loves his hot pink Target sheets.

Definitely! But I don't want a complete stranger honking my boob, ever, red carpet or no.

I missed the Globes and I had no idea this had happened until today when my husband was watching Talk Soup and they showed clips. Oh, my GOD, I couldn't believe it! If he'd asked me about my pubic hair or groped my breasts on the red carpet, I probably would have burst into tears. Maybe laughed it off at the moment, then went into the bathroom, realized what had happened, and then I would have cried.
This was really upsetting to watch. He really should be fired. If he does the Oscars, I bet the first woman he touches flips him over her shoulder. If I was famous and hot, I'd certainly learn that move.
Ugh.

I just think this is a load of bull, because Kathy Griffin is anything but boring. So it's alright for Isaac to grope and ask inappropriate questions but it's not okay to make one little joke that was CLEARLY a joke about Dakota Fanning??
I'm not saying either is right, but let's not be a hypocrite Harbert. Whatever, I was just starting to like Isaac on his show. Not a great interviewer and a little sassy but fun. Now after all this, I'm not so sure I want to ever see him on t.v. again.
