Don't forget Campbell's work in Longtime Companion. He played a gay character, and at that time*, he risked being pegged as a "gay actor". He and Patricia Clarkson are or have been together, hm? What a lovely lack of famewhoriness between them!
*How much have things changed since then? I'm not sure.
