I am 1/2 Irish, and my friends and I who are of Irish heritiage have a name for this look. When Irish females have the "Irish Curse "of drink, they get this certain look, we call them "a Peggy".
She's "a Peggy."

It seemed like she could barely talk. Like her teeth are too big for her mouth. Her voice sounded strange. It reminded me of Jim Carey on "In Living Color" doing the Fire Safety Guy. It was the same voice!

Holy cow ... was at the grocery store last night after work and caught the Star cover out of the corner of my eye and thought, "I wish they'd leave Loretta Lynn alone, poor dear." As I got closer to the checkout stand, I realized who it was ... never in a billion years would I have recognized her as J-j-j-jenny from Little House, let alone any of her other more recent roles.
She's totally a Peggy. Wow.

I remember reading about where she said she took up smoking because she WANTED to ruin her voice-she wanted it to sound all "low and raspy", because that was sexy or some bullshit like that.
I feel so bad for poor Hollie Marie Combs.
